Off the Ship, Day 1

Kamin sighed momentarily as she heaved her suitcase off the ship and onto the boarding platform. It had taken her almost a year to find this place.

The Roundtable.

Kamin looked up at the entrance station, a small, unassuming building seemingly pulled straight out of the 1960s. It was a surprisingly unassuming facade for what almost everyone knew as one of the greatest battlefields on the planet. Maybe here, in this place, she could be treated as an equal, and she wouldn't kill anyone anymore.

Sol gazed at the entrance station as he stepped out of the ship.

'So..this is the rumored Roundtable? It's more different than what I thought it'll be, I wonder if I'll find a place for myself here...well it wouldn't hurt to try..'

Sol proceeds out of the station, into the unknown.

Kamin looked around for a moment. A train station off to the left, an information counter off to the right, and a teahouse straight ahead. All done up in neat cobblestone.

How quaint. Like something straight out of the Middle Ages. Well, apart from the train and the travel guides and everything, of course. Hey, tea!

Her thoughts were suddenly jolted by someone rudely brushing past her.

"Hey, that wasn't very nice!" She shouted after the cloaked person.

But then again, standing right in the middle of the entrance wasn't very nice either.

Suddenly embarrassed, Kamin took off quickly to the teahouse, suitcase in tow.

Tsubasa circled in a downward spiral motion; in view was the rumoured port of New Orlania, where the Roundtable was held.

And in view too were the train station, an information counter and a teahouse.

Wait, a teahouse?!

She wasn't going to touch down, not yet at least. Safer than be sorrier; paranoia rather.

The teahouse was an obsidian white-and-black. Not that it mattered.

The only person of suspicion would be the slightly older female lumbering with luggage seemingly too big for her. That cancelled whatever suspicion. Heading in the same direction too.

Not that I can resist the aroma or striking anyone down that attempts to whack me first anyway. Milk tea here I comeeeeeee~

Kyouko slowly descended the gangplank, stopping momentarily to allow her snow rabbit to catch up - it took a flying leap and landed nicely on her head, as always.

Like a ghost she drifted slowly down, and people still swarmed merrily about. While she was still in Russia she was infamous enough for people to scatter as soon as she was even rumoured to appear.

She had the warmth and the danger of deep frozen nuclear waste, and whether she liked it or not, her reputation here on the Roundtable would ensure that soon enough, she would be once again wandering alone, with no one within a 5 kilometre radius around.

She glanced up, her soft features not quite revealing of the thoughts inside: for all the world she looked just like an innocent child faced with a challenge of a high shelf. And she might just be.

"Teahouse -> Way"

It seemed as good as another a way to begin a journey to her death.

fixedName glided (yeah glided he has skates) off the bridge. His organic component needed to refuel, so he took in all the signposts he could see, and after parsing he saw a sign that indicated chomp (or "food", as his superiors told him to refer it as) rather immediately.

"\*Teahouse\*"

"Righto," he told himself, "my organic component is grumbling already."

After walking for thirty minutes or so, Sol realized he was lost.

'Dammit....where the heck am I? I know I should have taken a map in the first place. Man, this port is bigger than it seems. Let's see..where was the docks again?

He glanced at his surroundings, the area was pretty much devoid of life and many of the buildings were close , a nearby sign however caught his attention.

"<---- Teahouse"

Ah! I remembered there was a teahouse near the docks guess I'll start there then.

Sol began to head to the teahouse.

It was rather hot that day.

Hmm... So wearing black wasnt such a good idea after all, Moridin thought.

Carrying his luggage, he walked off the ship, and onto the Round Table, upon which he was confronted with a sign reading "Tea house --> That way"

Well, better get moving to somewhere more... comfortable.

Sierra...

"I hear you." The Undine said quietly. She was sitting by the port with her legs dangling in the sea. Several unfamiliar people had already passed her resting place, and she had been preparing to pursue them--some had dangerous auras surrounding them.

It's time.

"Is it."

We have grown strong with your guidance. Now you must accompany them.

"Are they planning to enter the Round Table?"

Yes. There was a small conflict earlier... But it stopped before anyone got hurt.

"Luna help us. I will go. My home... I will return to you once I have helped these people."

No need to worry about us. Your kind has been good to us. You deserve to live as a human for them.

"Thank you." Sierra whispered and stood. Water rose around her in thin droplets to help her movement. She was not accustomed to using her human body yet, even after a few weeks of using it.

"Where must I go?"

We will guide you. Now depart.

Sierra Nark closed her eyes and breathed calmly, allowing the essence of the sea to lead her. She felt it pushing her, the natural force, only detectable by those incredibly in tune with nature.

Constantine stretched his legs. He had finally finished making repairs to his pants, which had been severely damaged by, of all things, water. As a result, he had been unable to move for a few days as the pants' circuits had locked up, thinking he had broken his legs and needed a splint. Irritating.

He once again cursed himself for his stupidity in not making his gear waterproof before boarding the ship. Haltingly, he stepped out of his cabin on his numb, trembling legs and slowly made his way off the ship.

By the time he reached land, his legs had regained all feeling, and he felt hungry. Looking around, he saw the Machigai Tea House.

"Yeah, I could do with some tea..." he mused as he walked over, his glaive whirling lazily in its launcher.

"Not yet," he whispered to himself, "not yet."

In a deserted alley near the docks a strange disturbance occured. A bluish black vortex appeared and distorted everything around it and suddenly, with a great flash of light, it disappeared, leaving behind a tall white figure with long black hair.

"Erm... this place looks kinda... familiar? ...... Looks like I am very late. I better look around and get a move on. "

While the black hole was a extremely quick way to get into the RoundTable, it seemed that it had damaged Rosietta's psionic powers too greatly, leaving her with nothing but her basic phasing technique, and even that was weakened greatly by the powerful electromagnetic field inside the malfunctioned black hole that she created.

"Great... now i have to walk. Darn, i havn't walked properly for a long long time..."

Walking out of the alley, she spotted a sign: [Teahouse --> ]

"A teahouse huh... I won't be needing the likes of tea, but I'll go anyway. Maybe I might chance upon some butterflies... I havn't seen any of those for months. "

Daisuke calmly examined the surroundings of his new destination. Aside from the people passing to and fro, there was not much to see there but a few signs.

The teahouse seems like a good place to begin. Besides, I need a drink.

More importantly, he noticed a few individuals passing in and out of the teahouse who did not look like common folk.

Daisuke then began heading to the teahouse, intent on seeing what awaits.

Yuki mused silently as he walked off the ship, already fully dressed for combat. If he wanted to be a hero, he would have to walk the path of strength, and the Round Table was one way to reach the strength that he sought. He did not even have to reach the top. All he had to do was get stronger, strong enough where he knew he could protect those around him, protect those that he wanted to protect. Still, how did he know how strong it was exactly that he needed to be? How did he know how many people it was he wanted to protect? If he was truly to be a hero, did that not mean he had to save everyone before his eyes and beyond?

No, he had to drive such thoughts out of his head. A hero protected everyone he could, that was all there was to it. There was no such thing as a being who could protect everyone. All he had to do was reach a point where he could acknowledge himself as strong, and everything from that point on would merely be for his amusement. In this world, where the price of battle was merely pride, where people did not easily die when they were killed, he could perhaps sate his hunger for battle for a little while.

Of course, as he was now, Yuki would not be able to stand amongst the Knights. Before he could get stronger fighting, he had to find a way to match even the lowliest amongst them, but that was something else for another time. For now, he had to go through at least some vague level of training before he could even say he deserved Knighthood.

First though, tea.

"Wheee~, I've finally made it here~"

"Right, mum. You need to first find your bearing and get introduced to the new battling system here." - Proby

">.< don't call me mum~, (Fyi, if you haven't read the back story, Ariela created Proby, who has a tendency to call Ariela 'mum' as such.) but onii-sama~ sounds good though~, Proby-kun~"

"That's irrelevant. Sides...! YOU'RE TAKING IT TOO EASY! QUICKLY LOOK FOR DIRECTIONS AND THEN ONWARDS WITH TRAINING OR YOUR FIRST BATTLE(S)!" - Proby

"owww... can't I rest~... meanwhile is anyone kind enough to show me a comfy place~ to stay~"

"MY BATTLESHIP HAS EVERYTHING THERE." -Proby

"But I wanna talk to others~ and meet up with anyone~ I know~"

"AND JOIN A PARTY. YOU NEED IT." -Proby

"LETS GET CRACKIN' THEN, MUM! GO GO TEAM PROBY!"

And so Ariela starts her day, somewhat lost, and mostly chatting with mission control or sitting under a cool shade, waiting for a person to help.

P.S. someone better rescue Ariela to Machigai Teahouse, she can't navigate AT ALL.

Daisuke heard a slight commotion shortly after leaving the teahouse.

I guess helping someone like this never hurts once a while.

He walked up to the new girl at the port, got her attention, and pointed at the Teahouse.

"...There's plenty of people. You can start there."

Maybe she can get information better than I can.

[Seasons of Music]

Jasper stepped out of the ship and looked about. Hopefully there'll be many nice people around this time so i can make friends..."

Jasper sees a group of people walking towards a single direction and decides to follow. He looks up and sees a sign saying "Teahouse".

"Right! I'll start off there!"

Kuroi Tsuki looked out of the cabin window, not far off, there is a tea house, he had heard quite alot about it.

The ship he was on was rather empty, and he was bothered, for he knew that he was quite late in joining the Round Table thingy.

I sure hope I am able to catch up with the rest that boarded the past few ships...

Lazy to make his way to the main exit from the ship, and he had no luggage to carry anyway, he slung his compact backpack over his shoulders, opened the cabin window, and poised himself right on the window frame.
Determined to get to the ground quick, and safe, he leaps right into the air, aiming for the ground not far off. As he was approaching the cold hard surface, he concentrated hard, and his landing slowed.
"Pfffft..."
He stood up straight on the dusty ground, and made his way to the tea house just up ahead.

Kane stopped sprinting. A trail of pulverized concrete followed in his wake, he peered down at the people in the city going about their daily business, some looked ordinary, while others were different. He could tell, being an experienced veteran himself, that these "different" people were not merely a level above the average citizen, no, they were probably way more powerful than that. Most seemed to head towards some institution called the "Ma - chi - gay - ee - tee - hao - se" and so he set off towards it, trying to be as careful as he could so as not to crack anymore concrete.

He wouldn't fit through the door, but he'd just shout inside, anyway, maybe somebody will start him on his journey to regaining honor.

The jolt from the ship landing jerked Daisuke from his nap. He packed his possessions and headed for the deck.

... A new destination, hm? How long has it been...?

Daisuke looked out from the ship. The town that stood before him looked unusual, having a mix of modern and past features, and a few quirks he could not quite recognise.

Most interesting.

Daisuke proceeded off the ship, and began to consider where to head for, only to have his train of thought interrupted by someone colliding into him.

Ariela steps out of the ship. Something tells her that she has seen this world in a dream years before in a dark era. But now, that is history, and she will begin life anew.

"I STILL THINK WE FELL INTO A BOTTOMLESS PLOT HOLE." her walkie talkie went.

">.<~ proby~, I'm lost~~~"

"... AGAIN? ... WAIT! I HAVE AN IDEA! LOOK FOR SOMEONE FOR HELP!" - proby

And thus, Ariela formulated a plan with proby to find her first party member. In the end, they decided that they will pick the next handsome person she spots and crash into hello.

"Ah~, I see someone~"

"SOMETHING TELLS ME THAT PERSON IS A FRIEND OF OURS IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE." - proby

And Ariela, carrying her luggage, collides into the person.

[kaisan]

Daisuke proceeded to get back up and dust the dirt off of him due to the collision.

"Watch it!" he said as he turned back to face the person who collided into him.

Wait... For someone to collide from behind...

"Um, wait... you... just got off the ship too?"

[Qi En]

"Um... yup~" Ariela went.

"I'm kinda lost now~, so will you help me?~"

"MY SCOUTER SAYS THAT HE IS NONE OTHER THAN FRAG, MASTER OF WISDOM! AND I BELIEVE ALFER, MASTER OF MECHA IS ALSO SOMEWHERE - *switched off*

Ariela blushes, keeps her walkie talkie, and quickly said: "Oh dear, sorry about that, my onii-chan~ can be a bother~ at times~. I am Proby Ariela, nice to meet you~"

"..."

...Well, she did give me her name. Best to do the same.

Daisuke pointed at himself. "Daisuke. I'm new here too."

He looked about and saw a bunch of signposts, one of which read "Machigai Teahouse".

Maybe a good place to start.

He turned back to Ariela. "You're lost, right? Follow me."
