Tsubasa instinctively shielded herself with both her wings and hands, taking bullets that went through much resistance while diving into Triela and stabbing her with a lance. She was going to tussle at melee range within the mist.
She needed to disarm her and this was the perfect moment when she was handicapped by the mist.
"Flans Exarmtio... Saggita magica aer capture!"
It was half the battle won when most of their battle relied on weapons.
Let's try rupturing..
"Ensis Exsequens."
Wind whirred to life around Tsubasa's wounded arm, forming a very sharp, long blade that was slammed diagonally into the ground, through the gunner.

She threw something - something dangerous - towards me. The illusion's expendable - I'll have it collapse later - but I'm not.
Focusing on Henrietta, Venser pulled up information on what she had thrown, and where it was going.
A grenade, and it's aimed in the centre of this bunch of crates. Not good. I'll have to be quick to get out of this
A quick search of the pile of crates revealed one that was large enough to cover him, and looked sturdy enough to act as a buffer. Pulling it as far back as he could before the grenade hit, he vanished and ran.
It was likely that the grenade would rip up everything within a large radius of it, and he intended to not be anywhere near it when it went off. The crate would block large shards from reaching him, and as long as the grenade's shards were flying around there, she wouldn't be stupid enough to go after him on foot.
Hopefully.
As he ran, he could hear the near-deafening explosion as the grenade detonated behind him. Shards of metal ricocheted off the crates, reducing them to splinters. That was all and very well, but what worried him were the shards that had managed to find their way to him - and through his left arm and shoulder.
The wounds weren't deep enough to hit the bone, and most of the shards had been blazing hot, cauterizing the wounds as they passed through. It still hurt, though.
Venser smiled grimly at his oversight.

Two incidents were taking up most of Sierra's attention. An explosion to one side, and a large missile flying in from the sky. It seemed to be homing in on Kyouko.
Why? Why? Is it because... of her body heat?[/b]
Sierra created several dome shaped barriers of water around her to absorb the blow from the frag grenade. The shrapnel slowed in Sierra's thick water and floated amicably.
Then she extended mist dummies into the sky.
Heat up.[/b]
The air temperature rose to match a human's.

"Irefir Convecta!" Kamin momentarily let loose a burst of light, along with it a burst of ultraviolet and infrared rays, close to where Moridin was, disrupting the acquisition system of the Stinger missile and causing it to veer slightly off course, impacting ten metres away.
She had been hit by some of the shot, and was bleeding out the side of her left leg.
"Crap... and I can't heal myself either..."

"Gah." Triela's shotgun had flown out of her hands, and tango Alpha had her trapped in some kind of cage of air. Alpha was now attacking with some form of blade.
Instantly, five shots whistled through the air, peppering tango Alpha.
Angelica had been shooting from a nearby building. While the mist was irritating, they were always prepared with Redshift goggles that served their current purpose quite well.
The Stinger rotated through the air, eventually exploding in the sky, sending shrapnel across the entire battlefield.
Rico shielded her face with her arm, strafing diagonally, pulling out her TMP as she prepared to engage tango Foxtrot. Tango Delta was currently engaged in something else.
A third Stinger flew through the air, homing in on tango Foxtrot who was currently absorbed with Rico.
Henrietta sprayed the general area with the SMG, with the mist obscuring everything it was hard to really tell what was going on.
Beatrice was moving slowly, her eyes trained from her Scout as she aimed to take out the wounded girl in the middle of the battlefield.

Constantine saw the newcomer.
"Time to engage."
His Ultravision allowed him to target her effortlessly. He decided against guns, preferring his glaive for now.
"Multiple Edge Razor. Launch," he commanded. His armour moved to comply. The glaive bounced around the newcomer, surrounding her with glowing blue razor wire, and returned to his hand.
"Gotcha. Activate Razor."
The glaive detached from its launcher, spinning at high speed towards the newcomer.
"I'm going to enjoy this."

It'd probably be best to get out of this killzone.
Venser sidestepped into a nearby deserted alley, and waited for his heartbeat to return to normal. Listening to the sound of the battle, he could tell that something had changed. He reached out to the minds around him, searching for information on what had happened.
Mist. Someone's got mist around their eyes. They don't seem like magic-users, so it's probably someone on our side. They haven't stopped firing, though, so either they can see through the mist or they aren't afraid of hitting each other.
I doubt it's the latter. Even if they can aim at us through the mist, that doesn't mean I can't take advantage of it.
Locating Henrietta wasn't difficult - the big cloud of mist in the road was a pretty obvious target - but even then he had to find her in the middle of it. It might have been impossible without whatever technology the girls had with them, but he had his mind on his side. Come to think of it, he had her mind, too.
Comparing what she was seeing in the mist with what he could make out of the surroundings, her precise location was easy to pinpoint. She was firing randomly. He had the advantage of cover. The protocol was obvious.
I can tell where she's going to be next. I can tell where she's going to fire next. I can't possibly miss with this shot.
Taking aim with his rifle, he fired several short bursts, aiming for her vital parts.

Oh crap.
After distancing herself from the block, Kyouko was left pretty open on the side of a building in midair.
Well, at least her target was damaged, having had a block thrown at her. But the approaching stinger...
Kyouko readied herself to launch off the wall and into Rico once again.
Ripping off yet another wall off the building, she tried her best to shield herself from the blast, while maintaining direction.
Then she forsaw it: a stroke of luck, as Raine filled the air with mist and suddenly the missile exploded. At that range the shrapnel wouldn't even make a noise as it bounced off the wall.
With an amazing amount of concentration Kyouko forsaw the area which Rico would be and managed to hold on to the present, thus completing a successful toss.
Funnily enough, that girl thought running in random directions after a diagonal would confuse her.
As the brickwall hurtled in Rico's predicted direction, Kyouko leapt after it, albeit in a slightly different direction.

Tsubasa could feel the bullets that were slightly off coming. But her blade had extended long enough and she made a swipe at Triela before jumping to a side and shielding herself with air, reducing the impact of two bullets.
They can even shoot through the mist. If this is a hp game, then I'll have to take them out fast. In a one on one game.
"Flans Paries Venti Vertentis."
Typhoon winds built up, leaving only Triela and Tsubasa in the eye of the typhoon.
"This will be our one on one game."
Tsubasa hurled her 20 drifting lances in the air towards Triela from all angles, aiming for the vital organs, while readying herself for another stab.

That was close, Moridin thought, as he saw the Stinger being diverted. Quickly, he put up a ward against the explosion and covered himself with his arms, though he was hit by pieces of shrapnel.
Kamin appeared to be hurt. Seeing Beatrice aiming for Kamin, he quickly ran in front of Kamin to block the bullet, which vanished as it hit him, just as a mini-typhoon built up around Tsubasa. He then ran to Kamin and hurriedly dragged her into a nearby, empty building.
"You'll have to get someone else to heal you. I can't do that yet," Moridin said, and left her there.
It seems Angelica has moved to shooting from a building in front of us.
He ran up towards her, and threw several knives on either side of her and one right at her.

Beatrice smelt the distinct smell of machinery, catching the location of the glaive easily. She held the advantage from her range, and she was certainly more accurate with guns than these people were with just about any weapons they had. Her scout primed in hand, she squeezed the trigger and blasted away the glaive, and making a split-second decision to aim for the largest threat to her well-being, aimed for the male and fired another shot.
Elsewhere, Rico's eyes widened in shock as she was surrounded by dangers on three sides. A flying wall, the superstrong girl, and flying daggers behind her. There was no real way she was going to get out of this unscathed, and she knew that much instinctively. That, however, was no excuse to be useless in any situation. Pulling out a grenade in mid-air, she tossed it at the wall before pulling out her sidearm and aiming at the loli, firing in her general direction before being pierced in the back by daggers.
Angelica watched the battlefield with a keen eye, and while she wanted to help Henrietta, there was no way she could with a direct assault like this. The knives were at left, right, and center, but there were far more directions one could dodge to than that. The girl threw herself to the floor, aimed at her attacker with her AUG and squeezed off a few more rounds.
Henrietta knew she was being shot at, and she knew the only thing she could do was the minimize the damage from the bullets if she wanted to live. At this range, she was not going to be dodging any of them any time soon. So gritting her teeth, she pointed her weapon at the source of the bullets and sprayed almost wildly, stopping only when she was hit in return. It hurt, but she could still fight for now.
Far away, Petrushka decided that it would be in their best interests to take care of the healer and launched Stinger shots after her. Of course, Stingers being what they were, they would probably hit quite a bit more than that.
Forced away from the others in the eye of the storm, Triela knew that the others would have moved on to the other targets now that they knew she was trapped from the outside. Magic did not last forever, and all she had to do was survive until the wall of wind broke down. She could do that much. Quickly counting all the lances, the girl jumped through them, feeling some of them cut into her. No matter, she would still fight, gun or no gun. After all, members of the Social Welfare Agency were built tough, and she was the best amongst them at martial arts. ---
Beatrice shoots down attack, returns fire. Rico gets pelted by bricks, stabbed by daggers, but fires at THA LOLI Angelica is grazed by knives, returns fire. Henrietta is shot, returns fire. Petrushka aims at Sierra. Triela is stabbity-stabbed, goes into close range and unleashed the KUNG FU.

Yeah, that's it, recognise the bigger threat.
Luckily Kyouko was travelling too fast to get aimed at properly, as with all objects not traveling in a straight line towards the user.
A bullet clipped her left shoulder, or was it shrapnel? But that couldn't be helped anyway. She had allowed it to hit, whatever it was; there was no way to really avoid that. She had calculated the minimum damage route long ago. But compared with the damage that Rico would take...
After getting hit in the back by knives she wouldn't be able to resist much.
Kyouko landed right on her, and in one fluid motion she snatched Rico up and tossed her high into the sky.
"Let's see if you have a parachute. And even if you do..."
Kyouko pulled out her Dragunov, and used the same technique as she did earlier with the boulder; one eye in the future, one in the present.
1 shot was all it took.

Tsubasa rested in self-assurance.
"Iaculatio Aeriales..."
Pulling an invisible lance out of thin air, as though waving her hands to most, Tsubasa prepared herself with another 54 lances by her. She had herself to cover.
"Saggita magica aer capture!"
She enchanted her lance and hurled it, and the 54 others followed. Tsubasa didn't relent.
"Evocatio valcyriarum."
Ten Valkyries were then on Triela then almost immediately. Tsubasa started the incantation.

They're still at it with their guns, are they?
The bullets simply vanished into thin air just as they touched Moridin.
Now for the finishing touch...
He threw six knives in a spread out fashion, two of them aiming for her back, two on either side to prevent her from rolling away.
At the same time, Moridin prepared to undo the knives.

Kyouko picked up the ball easily with her left hand, while holding the chain with her right. Then she dropped the ball.
The roof cracked.

Venser knew that he'd managed to hit her before he'd finished firing - the flare of pain in her mind was very apparent, and so were her instincts to return fire.
Better get back under cover.
Stepping back around the corner, Venser wached as the bullets whizzed past him. He was more or less safe here, but he couldn't count on his cover lasting forever. He had to introduce a new element.
He created an illusion of himself, charging towards her with rifle at the ready. He was sure that she'd fire at it - and he was also sure that he'd be able to make the illusion dodge them. It was much easier when you had a different perspective on things. That, and when you knew exactly where your opponent was aiming.
He, on the other hand, would be moving towards her, still invisible, giving the other him a wide berth. As long as she was focused on the illusion, he wouldn't have any problems taking her out once and for all.

OoC || Flipped a coin, landed heads. See if you can ride this out.
<She fell for it.>
With a quick shift and a lunge forward, Triela pulled out her sidearm, and squeezed off six rounds at point-blank range into Tsubasa's chest area before being herself impaled by fifty-four lances of air.
Rico, now in the air, knew she would be severely damaged when she landed, but for now she had the height advantage, plus the sun was behind her.
She pulled out her Dragunov and squeezed off five shots around and at Kyouko: If she so much as tried to dodge, she would get hit by at least one shot, right in the head. It was known as the Five-Point Cage move, and no one else could pull it off. On the way down, she sprayed with the TMP, knocking out thirty rounds before landing painfully.
Henrietta saw Tango Charlie run. She fired at him, but somehow, he seemed to be evading all her attacks. Had he been holding back?
"AC-130 is online." The huge gunship circled slowly overhead, like an eagle circling in for the kill.
[Tango Charlie behind building east.]
[Roger. Bofors, taking him out.]
The 40x311mmR high-explosive round flew down at almost Mach 2, detonating three metres above the ground, spraying shrapnel over a thirty metre radius and the shockwave going past twenty.
[Unit S.O. Four pinned by Tango Golf.]
[Roger. Target acquired. Fire away.]
The ground where Moridin was was peppered with 140 PGU-22 high-explosive rounds, fired within two seconds from the 4200RPM GAU-12 Equalizer, each causing a small detonation 30cm in radius.
[Tango Delta on building west.]
[Roger. Target acquired.]
A 105mm NATO discarding-sabot flew into the building at Mach 4, demolishing it to its very foundations and creating a depth shockwave that went around it for fifty metres.
[Ka-boom.]
[Gunner ready!]
[Tango Foxtrot in the open.]

The 105mm NATO hot discarding-sabot round flew into the ground.

What the shi-
Yeah, she's not human. None of them are.
Ironic that she, Matsumura Kyouko, was saying that.
But that only made things more fun, seeing that she now had a new toy to play with.
With all her strength she threw that huge steel ball at Rico, wondering what those grooves would do, besides compromising greatly on the overall weight.
Well maybe, not so greatly.
But at least it would block all those damned bullets.
As the black steel ball neared Rico, she noticed exceptionally strong gusts of wind circulating around the ball, pretty evident through the mist they were, and they seemed to pull everything towards it.
Trapped by a mini-hurricane of random currents enamating from the spin of the black steel ball, Rico was pretty much doomed for sure.
A sickening sound of black steel on human flesh would soon meet her ears, no doubt.

She went for it. Good.
Venser figured that he would reach Henrietta at about the same time that his illusory double did. Assuming the illusion kept her occupied (which was probable), he'd be able to flank her easily. Now, if he remembered correctly, there was still someone covering her. That wouldn't be an issue.
Putting on a burst of speed, he got behind Henrietta as she was firing at the illusion (a good 5 metres away from her at this point), took aim with his AK-47 (at the back of her head) and projected another illusion, perfectly over superimposed their current position. To the outside world, it appeared as though Henrietta was still firing at him, without a care in the world. In reality, he was behind her, opening fire. He didn't know how powerful the rifle was, but considering that he was less than 2 meters behind her, it was probably enough to do the job.

Kamin heard the loud bang of the shells impacting around them. They were definitely not bullets.
"Crap, they've got air cover?!" She looked into the sky, and sure enough, spotted the aircraft circling slowly overhead. She couldn't see properly, but she was 80% sure it was an AC-130. Nothing else had that much accurate killing power from the air.
But they weren't firing on her. Not yet.
She flared again, this time disrupting the Stingers that were heading toward Sierra.
