Constantine drew back his glaive.
"Damn waste of MP. Never mind."
Then, he noticed the girl preparing to fire.
"CRAP!"
He dodged, his Ultravision allowing him to see where the gun was pointing.
"Dynamo! Chain Lightning!"
A burst of lightning headed for the girl. Her gun looked like a very good lightning rod.
Constantine followed this up with an extended burst from his MP5. Then, "Gather! Predator Form!"
Metal began to gather around him.

As the seven knives were hurtling towards the concrete barricade, he timed the undoing of the barricade such that it would disappear just as the knives would contact the barricade.
Suddenly, he heard a helicopter, and an explosion, and suddenly bullets were being fired at him.
Moridin was hit by one round, before he managed to put up a ward against them.
Ow..Explosive rounds...
He ran/limped for cover in the building where he had left Kamin, and the concrete barricade vanished, leaving 7 knives, right in front of Angelica. He would use a redo if necessary.

"Another messy place... I've had just about enough of messy places..."
Rosietta mumbled as she walked into the streets.
"Hmm happens to have a fight here as well... Lets just watch for now. Not that I can do anything in my current state... And be careful of stray bullets. "
Eyes glowing blue, Rosietta walked off to one side to observe the battle, keeping her senses sharp for any incoming bullets.

Social Welfare Agency - Special Ops Section 2
Rico saw the black ball coming towards her. No doubt this was her end, but it was a chance.
She plucked and threw three grenades, two incendiary and one fragmentation, over the ball to where Kyouko was.
Instantly, three shots rang out, and the grenades exploded all around Kyouko, sending a implosion shockwave where she was at. Angelica had long switched positions.
[-100 HP, decrease on avoid by max 30%]
Triela coughed blood onto the ground, her health spent. But it wasn't in vain.
"My win."
Anti-tank mines were rigged in a square pattern around the two of them. These would blow straight up and rain white-hot flechette fragments down on the area, removing any chance of an aerial or a normal escape.
"Ka-boom." Triela pressed the button, and collapsed on the ground.
Henrietta heard the click of a sail behind her and instinctively ducked. She plucked up a large chunk of ground and tossed it behind her, and fired shots in the general direction, having to depend on her hearing due to the mist obscuring her sight.
Beatrice saw the lightning bolt coming, but she didn't care. There was a single metal rod from what remained of a bench five metres to her forward-left, and her gun was mostly plastic to prevent rain rust, and didn't conduct electricity. She popped off three more shots.
Petrushka noticed the disruption of the Stinger missiles. Guess it wasn't that effective then.
"Special Ops Section 2, radioing for MLRS support."
-------------------------- [Tango Echo on offensive. Pop chaff.]
[Roger that, chaff away.]
Metallic chaff spouted out of the gunship, conducting the electricity in a huge cloud of metal dust as it took to the air.
[S.O. Two is down. Tango Delta in the open. Set a perimeter.]
[Roger. Neutralizer firing.] [Roger. Bofors firing.]
The Neutralizer five-barreled gun spat out one-thousand five hundred rounds, reducing the area around Kyouko to dust. Several Bofors 40mm high-explosive shots impacted around the area, setting up a hundred-metre-radius circle of death around Kyouko's location.
[S.O. One is down. Tango Alpha in the open. High threat, immediate neutralisation.]
[Roger.] [Roger that.] [Affirmative.]
All three weapons fired at Tsubasa's location, raining death down in a shower of bullets and fire that was more commonly known among the military as 'Steel Rain'. For as long as one was within the area, even ten feet underground, death was unavoidable.
[Tango Hotel behind cover. High priority. Building north.]
[Target acquired, fire away.]
40mm rounds flew toward Sierra's location, and exploded in a general circular pattern.
[Tango Beta in the open. Medium priority, possible flight capability.]
[Target acquired, fire away.]
Two hundred-twenty Neutralizer rounds flew down around Kamin, an unavoidable rain of fire.
-------------- tl;dr: Rico: KO. Threw three grenades at Kyouko. Triela: KO. Trap setup. Angelica: 340 HP, 50 MP, shot grenades thrown at Kyouko. Henrietta: 160 HP [-40], 100 MP, countered Venser. The Predator was furious. He had never, ever gotten an attack in. He decided to stop using his shock cannon for now. Instead, he rushed the annoying girl who he had missed, glaive humming. He intended to melee her with the glaive. He flew at high speed in a zigzag pattern towards her.

Tsubasa didn't like the air. It clung heavily to her; there was the thrill of smoking, yet the dust made it somewhat irritable. It was a rigid breeze going against her. Tsubasa didn't like it at all. But on the attack before she had drawn blood.
"Ourania Phlogosis."
Fire and brimstone surged forth from encrusted blood runes, with enough power to create dust explosions everywhere below. But that wasn't her main focus. No one down there would be.
"Veniant Spiritus Aeriales Fulgurientes Cum Fulguratione Flet Tempestas Austrina Jovis Tempestas Fulguriens."
She remembered the incessant chanting. It took lesser than a breath.
The taste's still there.
Tsubasa felt like breaking into maniacal bouts of laughter.
It's almost exhilarating.
The winds frenzied as Tsubasa threw both her hands forward. The only link between Tsubasa and the gunship was a massive storm of energy.
Tsubasa then fell into a nosedive.
"Dios Tukos."
She was ready to lash out indiscriminately as a blade sparkled to life in her right hand, taking its colour from crimson shades on her hand - while racing a massive electric spark downwards.

She heard me. I'll have to press my advantage.
Sidestepping to avoid most of the gunfire, as well as the big chunk of concrete flying at him, Venser tossed the remains of a crate onto Henrietta, timing it such that his illusion, which was still running towards her, would reach her at the same time, giving it a semblance of physical form. Illusions were more effective when all the senses were engaged, and given her current state of confusion, she was more likely to believe that she was being attacked directly, especially since she already knew that he'd fired at her.
Come to think of it, illusions worked best when they were personal.
Venser reached into Henrietta's mind, searching for her worst fears, memories that she'd tried to erase from her mind, everything that had ever made her run in terror.
Got to find the creme de la creme, here. Grade A, undiluted nightmare fuel.
Seconds after his illusory double had engaged her, its form began to mutate into that of her worst nightmare.

Heh, she's down at last.
It'll be my turn soon if I don't hurry and put this move into motion..
Kyouko let the huge steel black ball carry on its inertia, and it hardly stopped as it picked up a passenger; a silvery haired little girl hanging for dear life on the chain end of the weapon of destruction.
"Thank you for travelling BigBlackBall Airways. We hope you have a pleasant flight." she said quietly to herself.
Flying was a sensation of thrill she'd never experienced before, or at least not like this; skin on air.
The freedom of having a whole dimension removed from below her feet was just spectacular.
Then the word "heaven" became a whole lot shorter.
Just behind her, the world exploded in awesome technicolour and sound, completely disintegrating the roof, and pelting her with fiery fragments.
Her left leg was torn partially from heel to kneecap in a straight line, while Kyouko uttered some Russian words which were definitely not learned from kindergarten.
Following the ball's parabolic curve for a bit, she saw the battle raging down below. The 90th Knight Team assembled quite a force; she wasn't sure whether she was fighting a team or a country anymore. The huge radius guns were most irritating though.
The descent was most graceful, or at least from Kyouko's point of view. Until that ball demolished half a building, which would have probably been its original purpose had it belonged to that particular industry.
Steel and concrete fell at high speeds towards were some girl and Venser were. She didn't forsee Venser getting hit by anything other than half a brick, but it seemed like the girl was trapped. Unhurt, but trapped.
Kyouko swung herself onto the building, and that's when it happened.
Out of [OoC: Haruhi] knew where, a huge density of metal came pouring down at where she was swinging up a moment ago. Reflexes didn't save her; a sense of knowing did. Knowing without knowing what was ahead, but performing the correct moves nevertheless. Strangest of all, it wasn't her.
"Teehee~, I'll take over for a while."
An empty void. The world upside down. Then she was looking at herself from a third person's perspective.
She was looking down at herself, like watching a film. She tried going into a future for a microsecond or so to check if she still could: she could.
Kyouko was, amazingly, not too surprised by these chain of events. She had always suspected some other being inside her ever since she had gotten clarivoyant, and of course the voices that started to annoy her recently. But of course, she never expected something of this scale. Full body takeover. WTF. Pardon the expression.
"It wouldn't be good if you died here now, would it?"
Wouldn't be good if...if I had died?!
"SO IT WAS YOU!" she shouted, screaming her lungs out, shedding tears which didn't exist. "IT WAS YOU, THAT DAY, AND ON SO MANY OTHERS, WHO PREVENTED ME FROM DY-"
"Yeah it was me. And it seems like you aren't in the least grateful for it. Ara~, we have quite a crisis now, don't we?"
Kyouko registered what she was looking at.
A huge sheet of metal rain was converging on her, or at least the other her. Some of the bullets looked fat. Inciendary, she would bet.
"MOVE YOU IDIOT, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, STANDING THERE? MOVE!! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?!"
It was out of her mouth before she realised she had said it: did she not want to die after all?
Too late. The first bullet hit the ground, throwing up a huge cloud of smoke, the second sent a cloud of flames, the third, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth...raining, showering, pelting, a culmination of the world's cacophonies, a conglomeration of scarlet and brown. So this was war.
The noise was horrible, the sight was disastrous, and she didn't look like she had survived that.
She wondered why she was remaining in this form even though she was dead. Maybe she would be trapped on this horrible planet forever, drifting, watching over others without a form.
Her answer came all too soon as the dust cleared: She was standing exactly where she was.
What? What abilities did that stuck up mysterious personality have? Grazing? Superarmor? Or...
Did she just freaking dodge every single damned thing inside there just now?
Again her question was answered as "she" literally disappeared onto the next rooftop, and then the next, and the next...as if the wound on her leg wasn't there. But that wasn't all that fast.
"Hey...how did you dodge that just now?", Kyouko asked the new irritant.
"Mhm...? Dodge what?"
"Those bullets. This kind of speed can dodge a couple of explosions I guess. But definitely not that."
"I am as fast as you are strong. But unlike you, I know how to use my powers. Superstrength isn't all about the power behind the hit you know?"
Well at least she sounded friendlier. But what was this about not knowing how to use her powers properly...?
Kokyou has SuperAgility which is Kyouko's SuperStrength's level. When in this form Kokyou has no SuperStrength, and takes on a whole different personality. It is in fact, a whole new personality, which is most visibly identified with the switching of the hetrochromatic eyes of Kyouko's.
Kyouko has no ability to control when she wants to let Kokyou take over- only Kokyou can decide that.

Kamin saw the bullets coming down from the air in a huge burst of fire.
I'm not gonna survive this.
Wrapping her wings around herself, she braced for impact.
The bullets ripped through her body, tore her feathers, left her a bloody mess.
She could feel herself slipping into unconsciousness.
Oh no... not now...
Kamin spread her wings.
"Heal." Instantly she regenerated, blood seeped back into wounds that closed, feathers sewing themselves back together as if brand new.
"What a godly nuisance." She stretched, and with a burst of speed threw herself into the air on seasoned wings.
She could see people all around her. She couldn't give a care who they were, she just wanted them dead.
That angel flying in the air, the grey-haired lad, the girl he was attacking, the giant mechanical beast, the sniper on the rooftop, the healer in the corner, the girl jumping over buildings, the girl hiding in the alley. None were spared.
"Crepsuculum."
The sky adjusted itself, got brighter. The sun shone through the clouds. Then it happened.
Huge beams of light fell from the sky, slamming into the ground in seemingly random fashion. But they were all targeted at the people around Kamin. The ground shook, and buildings crumbled, in a rain of what seemed like diagonal pillars of light, like the discharged warheads of a Peacekeeper ICBM.

I'm getting fired at.[/b] Sierra realized as the first of the shots caused her water bubble to quiver. She clenched her fist, recognizing this sensation of fear that gripped her.
The bubble around her thickened and changed into ice. More explosions petered off its slippery surface.
"Eep!" She squeaked as shots made it through her barrier.
Sierra, move!
I don't want to..[/b] She curled into a tiny ball, increasing the layers of ice on her bubble.
You're going to get hit. Kamin is firing something powerful from the sky... Your body won't be able to handle it, even if you release your seal... It's a magic attack... Sierra!!

Annoying. It's just all of them.
Tsubasa saw that the dust explosions had hit most - if not everyone - and that her charge of lightning had hit the one throwing grenades at Kyouko; that was the only way she could describe her.
Annoying. Random attacks don't get anywhere.
Tsubasa dodged the light beams with ease. Amidst everyone pitting their skills, Tsubasa saw Sierra crouched in a corner, opening herself to a beam of light.
"Tch. Fulguratio Albicans."
Almost annoying. The irony.
The spell said 'white lightning', yet the lightning was besmirched soot.
Conducting the beams of lightning, Tsubasa blocked the beam heading towards Raine while hitting all the other gun women on the map. Bolts danced at her fingertips in her left hand; the surges of pure electricity replied.

Tch. Bad enough that the enemy had that much firepower raining hell on us. Last thing we need now is our teammate to beserk.
Kokyou absent-mindedly dodged a huge ray of light pillar blasting out of the ground half a microsecond where she was before.
Stopping suddenly, she found the remains of an iceshield composed mainly of water, magic and hope.
She ran through the barrier to Sierra and picked her up; or rather she tried to.
Kyouko may have been superstrong due to her powers, but someone with the body of a short 14 year old can hardly carry a large pet, much less a human being.
"Let me take over!! I can get her away to safety easily!!", yelled a voice in her head. Clearly Kyouko didn't trust her one bit with her body.
Kokyou ignored her and tried a technique used for those whose muscles were only located in specific areas; in this case her legs.
She sped off while only minimally lifting Sierra, thus letting her legs do most of the work.
That arrangement would work, or at least as long as the projectiles stayed at this level... she didn't have much time.

The Predator saw the rain of steel. He stopped in his tracks, raising the whirling glaive to the sky. It spun at top speed, emitting a loud buzz. That would probably lessen the damage these things would do. For good measure, he fired a stream of lightning upwards. The stream conducted itself through the small projectiles falling towards him, just like it did with the chaff.
Then he noticed the huge light pillars falling around him. Frantically, he backed off, firing his lightning stream in a sweeping arc above him and using his glaive to deflect any bullets that got through. Still, he felt several impact on his armour. It hurt, but not as badly as it would have if he was in human form. He dodged several light beams, but got slightly singed by passing too close to one.
"Something tells me I should get out of here."

Social Welfare Agency - Special Ops Section 2
She had a noticeable lack of fears.
In fact, she had a lack of memories at all.
It was... as if... her past had been completely erased.
Henrietta depended on her hearing to guide her. She closed her eyes completely, instead relying on her superior sound perception.
The sound of creaking wood, coming from 260 degrees. She sidestepped, and spun in that direction, listening closely for footsteps.
There.
She squeezed off the last ten rounds in her magazine, and reloaded.
Two members of the team were down. She'd have to make do with the rest.
Then she heard the air ionize. It's a terrible sound to hear, especially if you're not near a laser printer.
Because it means somewhere nearby, something really powerful is ionizing the air.
In an instant, the ground ten metres east of her practically exploded in a shower of stone and dust. Henrietta was thrown several metres, and landed skidding on her shoes. She could hear the ionization of air all around her, and if she could just track it...
Angelica shielded herself from the flame cloud as the dust from the ground battle exploded. She was high enough to avoid most of it, thankfully. Her eyes picked up the boy who had been attacking her before, who had mysteriously caused the concrete barricade to vanish. He was coming into the building.
Angelica knew he'd have to come through the door. There was no other way to the roof.
She laid Claymore mines in a circle around the entire block that was the stairwell, in case he decided to somehow come through a wall using that skill of his.
Crouching, she covered the area, ready with several packs of C4 at her disposal littered strategically around the rooftop.
Beatrice could smell the machinery around the lad. She could smell its workings, and could tell where the weak point was.
The small exhaust pipes on the back of the suit. They were leaking the smell of unburnt hydrocarbons, which meant it led to whatever powered the thing.
She squeezed off one carefully aimed armor-piercing shot that would explode after going through one foot of armor.
Petrushka's radio burst with static. "Attention SO Section 2, MLRS support is not possible at the moment. Repeat, MLRS support is not possible at the moment, over."
"Tch." She could do nothing more with the Stinger on such powerful opponents. The battlefield was literally a lightshow at the moment. She picked up her Barrett, and sighted in on the battlefield.

Heeheehee!
Your power does have to come from SOMEWHERE, idiot. And we're not that good.
"So it's your fault!? Don't laugh, you'll be destroyed too!"
That shut the irritating things up. Before he could respond, his suit fell to pieces.

Venser had just realised that something wasn't quite right with his approach when the girl opened fire on him. And then the ground near him exploded.
Not as planned.
The impact of the explosion had flung him into a nearby stack of old newspapers, which wasn't something he'd normally be thankful for, except that in this case, he'd probably be clear of any further gunfire from the girl, due to the big clouds of dust raised by the explosion. He'd definitely taken a couple of shots to the chest, as was evidenced by the smoking holes in his shirt (and the feeling that he'd been punched hard a couple of times), but by and large most of the bullets had either grazed his limbs or missed.
Laying back in the heap of newspapers, he looked up at the sky, trying to get his breathing back under control. He didn't want to go into shock in the middle of a battle.
A shadow passed over him. If his injuries had been more severe, it might have been Death, but in this case it was the aircraft that the girls had called in to assist them. It seemed to be heading out of the area, but he wasn't about to assume that it wouldn't be heading back.
I can't let that happen, now, can I?
He reached up into the sky, searching for the pilot's mind. Sifting through the man's mind, Venser instantly knew where he was headed, and what he was going to do. Unfortunately for the pilot, Venser also knew that a kink in the plan was all it would take to throw things terribly off course.
Focusing on the area in front of the cockpit, Venser created another world. Well, it wasn't actually another world, it was the same one...just from a different angle. The wrong angle. Looking through the pilot's mind, he altered the image, guiding the plane groundwards.
Seeing is believing.
The pilot believed he was flying away from the battlefield to refuel. Venser knew that he was heading into the ground. Heading for the girls.

Just as Moridin had reached the third storey, he realised that he really had to be more careful.
The ground exploding beneath my feet, grenades,... not a nice thought.
He took his time proceeding up the stairs.
This is the only stairwell... she can't possibly get down unless she wants to kill herself by jumping off the building.
At every turn on the stairwell, besides throwing knives into the walls, he threw one or two into the floor that was a distance ahead of him, to test for traps.
Phew. Nothing happened.
Eventually, he was very near the door. There was a short flight of stairs leading up to a closed door.
It never hurts to be careful...
He threw a knife at the door, and then before it struck he undid the door, and it vanished, and the knife continued on its path. At that moment in time, he realised two things.
Coincidentally, Angelica appeared to be standing a few meters away from the door, in the path of the knife, which would strike her stomach if she did not move.
The other thing was that the door vanishing revealed several mines, that would have killed him if he had decided to go through the door the 'normal' way.
It never hurts to be careful.

Kamin was not happy.
Her light attack had generally missed. That meant no one had died.
Which made her angry.
And that person had stabbed her so many times she could feel the hot, sticky blood enveloping her stomach.
An angel-vampire half-breed. She had blocked most of the fatal attacks.
She would have to die.
"Relipson Eathaeid Ancelis." Kamin stretched out her hand, and clenched her fist.
Instantly, light swept out of the entire area, leaving a sphere of darkness encasing the entire battlefield one kilometre across. The light compressed itself into one thousand lances of light, which spun in on a clockwise pattern in a globe formation around Tsubasa.
Kamin fell unconscious and dropped to the ground.
The battlefield was darker than midnight on a new moon.

Roundtable Guardian, Unknown[/u]
"Man, this is so troublesome. Just when I thought I was free of that curse I have to work as a guardian here too?"
The guardian shrugged almost nonchalantly as she raised her hands, and started her magic in ancient Greek. It was pretty much overkill, but her orders were to end the fight without causing too much injury and without being found out, so it was necessary for her to use only one spell to end it.
"Τὸ συμβόλαιον διακονῆτω μοί, ἡ κρυστάλλινη βασίλεια! Ἐπιγενηθήτω, ταἰώνιον ἔρεβος, αἱώνιε κρύσταλλε! Πάσαις ζωαῖς τὸν ἴσον θάνατον, ὃς ἀταραξία!"
All around the fighters of both sides, everything froze instantly. The air itself turned into ice, and even the bodies of the fighters were solidified immediately. In that world of ice, nothing moved, and nothing would enter.
"Well, somebody should be along to break them out in time."
