Name
Jorryn "Jack" French Janneva
Age
Fourteen years of age.
Gender
Female
Race
Human. Human.
Appearance
Jorryn is shorter than the average fourteen-year-old, and takes advantage of it by donning a large straw-hat, loose denim pants, and an overly large yellow sleeveless shirt over a long-sleeved fishnet that comes down to just past her chest. This allows her to pass as a boy, and is further helped by the fact that she has a wiry frame. Her blonde hair reaches to the middle of her back, but her fringe is cut short to a little above her eyes to aid visibility without hair ornaments, and the hair hanging down the sides of her face is cut to just above her chest. It's a bit of a shame that she hides it all underneath her hat. Her sharp blue eyes give the illusion that she possesses incredible intelligence deep within, especially when placed next to her best friend, Nimue, who is a real genius and has similar eyes. She actually has a sizable bosom, but it is hidden well under the folds and half transparency of her outfit. She wears white shoes and black knee-length socks.
Personality
Jorryn appears to be an airhead, making bad puns, sleeping and drooling heavily in class, and spacing out a lot. While mostly true, Jorryn has bright moments with anything remotely related to sketching or painting, which is her hobby. It's easy to mistake her for a sleepyhead due to her class behaviour, but she's highly energetic and tomboyish outside of class, and can even hit levels of hot-blood that Tomokazu Seki and Noboyuki Hiyama would be approving of. In line with her boy disguise, Jorryn prefers to be called Jack, to mislead people from her real name, and also because she dislikes her real name. Anyone who calls her by her real name will be attacked, save for her family and extremely close friends, and even then she displays venom.
Biography
Jorryn is the only child of a rich and influential family, and as such is spoiled by her parents. At the age of five, she begged her parents to let her learn a martial art, and her parents picked one for her that utilised her hands minimally so that she wouldn't damage them as it would be improper for a lady to have scars and rough skin on her hands. Being a tomboy, Jorryn hated the prim and proper atmosphere in her home, and regularly carried out escapades to the city. Unable to stop her and wanting to protect her, her parents made her an outfit to conceal her gender and requested she wear it on her forays, as well as had a bodyguard shadow her while she was out. She met Nimue on one of her trips, and the two became fast friends.
As Jorryn grew older, she trained more intensively in her martial art discipline, and gained respectable power. Eventually she didn't even need a bodyguard, as one day she caught the bodyguard that was shadowing her and knocked him out.
One day, during a martial arts, Jorryn's dormant abilities awoke when she was losing badly in a fight. Her desperation to win created a forcefield around her, knocking her opponent back, and when she struck at her opponent, the power of the forcefield was channeled into the blow, flinging her opponent at least ten metres horizontally. Needless to say, she was immediately disqualified. On confronting her father, he told her that that was an ability unique to his family, but it was supposed to have died out due to disuse, since his family had been aristocrats for at least ten whole generations, and thus there was no need for such an ability. Jorryn honed the ability, which came down to a matter of focus, willpower and imagination. Even though her father was disapproving, he was unwilling to be strict with Jorryn to prevent their relationship from souring. The strong ability required a large amount of energy to use, and thus Jorryn had to limit her usage of it or risk falling into a coma.
Jorryn was privately tutored, and she did badly as she hated studying. However, art interested her, and she spent whatever time she was at home learning to paint from at art teacher, proving to be rather talented at it. Because Jorryn was unwilling to study at home and Nimue proved to be extremely smart for her age, Jorryn took private tuition from Nimue from time to time, and in return Jorryn taught Nimue to draw. Hearing Nimue relate her school tales with relish made Jorryn wish that she were enrolled in an actual school, so she asked her parents to let her go to a school. However, Jorryn's academics proved so horrible that no school could take her in. Her parents then managed to get her into Ren'ai using their connections as well as her talent in art.
Skills
Imagination Engine: Melee
Jorryn can project a forcefield to protect herself and anyone standing close to her. She cannot extend it more than an arm's length. Also, she can't project her forcefield at range. Offensive capabilities with the field are limited to the length of her limbs. The limit to the ability uptime is ten minutes, and if Jorryn exceeds it she risks falling into a coma. However, it extends in a full sphere around Jorryn, protecting her from all directions, and depending on how hard she is concentrating, the forcefield's power fluctuates accordingly; she can deflect bullets with a reflexive force field, and when fully concentrating, her forcefield can withstand nukes. It also lends superhuman power to her blows, as if her kicks weren't painful enough. The forcefield drains a lot of energy from her body, so she needs to eat a lot to replenish the energy after using the ability.
Agility
Because Jorryn took a martial art that primarily focused on using the legs to attack, Jorryn was trained to move at high speeds on foot to avoid attacks, as well as to fire off kicks like a machine-gun. Jorryn is also capable of a fair share of acrobatics, allowing her to show off. It also makes her extremely athletic.
