A large, two-storey bungalow in Minimalist style. Much of the house is taken by a living room that bathes in the light of a huge double-storey bay window that covers close to two walls of the entire building.
Many rooms are available, both on the first and second storey. It appears to have been designed for a group of people living together rather than a family.

The heavy oak door slowly inched open, nary a squeak emanating from the new and frequently-oiled hinges. Vedeloitte quietly entered the room, making her way past the sleeping figure of Constantine, whose various tinkerings were scattered about the four-seater table of the entry lounge.
The dawn light was streaming in through the bay windows, bathing everything in a soft diffused yellow glow. Kamin stood near the large sofa in the corner, staring off at the silhouette of the Millenium Tower superimposed against the rising sun.
"Hey."
Kamin uttered a non-commital "mm", her eyes still lost in some world of her own.
Vedeloitte shrugged, and looked around. The house was still in relative order.
It was also rather quiet. It was, after all, seven o' clock in the morning the day after the leaders of the World Without Boundaries terrorist organisation had surrendered. The group of them had almost single-handedly infiltrated and removed the main threat toward attacking forces - the shield generator and the power plant. It had been only a matter of time after that before the conventional forces, including New Technia's and the Empire's elite units, had the organisation completely under control.
It had taken a while to arrange, but New Technia was to get the Propella lake that the WWB organisation had amassed, while Nasul City had claimed the Propella Harmoniser tower, saying that since it was in their territory and New Technia wanted the Propella, it was only right that they got something too. The Empire was happy enough having somewhere to put their base in, and many of them were already fitting right in with the New Technia culture.
As far as she could tell, walking around the place, Venser was currently sleeping fitfully in a chair in the study, slumped over a pile of books, while Tsubasa was lying very comfortably in the sofa nearby. Upstairs, Kuroi was sleeping comfortably in a single bed, while Yuki was snoring away in another. Sierra had requisitioned the bathtub, while Sol had chosen, rather oddly, to sleep in the landing. Jasper, who had joined the group recently, was nowhere to be found - the kitchen, perhaps? Maybe that's where the sizzling smell of frying bacon was coming from.
Well, he was the least tired, after all. And someone had to make breakfast.
Vedeloitte stole another glance at the figure of Kamin standing by the window. It was probably no coincidence that Ms Bazritz had requested Ms MacIntyre for the few of them to be in charge of this new motley crew of people.
Kamin had, of course, been one of their members. It was almost certain that she was the same person who had, with her, Miyo and the rest, alone turned the tide of the First Propella War.
The problem now was that she couldn't remember a single bit of it. Or, the fact that she had left the Roundtable immediately after that - for reasons unknown.
That would have to take time. For now, there were other pressing issues.
Since everything was in order, Vedeloitte once again quietly made her way out of the house.

Sol woke up, finding himself in a dark and cramp space, so cramp that he had to switch his armor for a T-shirt and shorts.
'Ugh, where is the goddamn door. Geez, I'll just make another one..'
He pierced an area with swords and kicked it, probably waking everyone else in the process when it crashed. Creeping out, he picked up the debris and fixed the 'hole' he created.
'I better get out of here before someone come looking for the source of that noise'
He then taped to the door a note that says: "Gone to the Grand Library"
'If they need me, atleast they know where to find me'
Pretending that he didn't know about destruction, he proceed to go to the library, materializing his armor once he's out of the building.

Mm. Wanton destruction. Such an endearing personality trait.
Lying back in the plush easy chair that he'd been lounging in for the past few hours, Venser didn't bother opening his eyes when he heard the commotion. It had punctured the pleasurable state that he had been drifting in, between wakefulness and the dim unconscious, just awake enough not to dream.
No. Absolutely no more dreams, no more hopeless wanderings in a mental mausoleum, reminding him of what he'd left behind. He hadn't been able to sleep deeply ever since the dreams had come - not nightmares, nothing that drastic, but they were no less detrimental to his spirit for that.
Enough. It was just morbid to dwell on thoughts like that so early in the morning, as if he were indulging in hair of the dog for a hangover of horror. He had more or less come to terms with the fact that there wasn't a cure for what he was facing, unless he ever did manage to undo what he'd done. If that day ever came, perhaps he'd find release from his demons. Perhaps not. Perhaps it never would come.
Stifling a yawn with his hand, he slowly sat up, returning the book on his chest to the pile on the table. He didn't plan on following Sol to the Library, for reasons that were of course entirely unrelated to the fellow's penchant for gratuitous destruction. There had to be better ways to spend his time, like...well, anything else, really.

The Undine let out a quiet breath. Her violet eyes followed the line of bubbles that wiggled from her lips to the surface of the water. The destruction of the wall moments earlier had sent a resounding shock throughout the entire residential building, and especially affected her, who had been submerged in the water.
It's Sol--Idiot--Leaving--Sierra?
She smiled in amusement at the familiar chime of the water spirits... and then froze. The water spirits had transmitted an odd observation.
She's smiling!--She's smiling!--It's not fake--Her eyes.
"Calm down," she tried to grumble, but it came out garbled, as she was still submerged in the water. Well, it was about time that she get out anyway. No doubt Sol's early morning antics had woken everyone up.
She ran her hand through the water in the bathtub, feeling the resistance against her fingers. And then it was gone. The liquid glowed bright blue, and then the girl flipped through the air as the bathtub appeared to spit her out.
"Interesting," She mused, landing securely on her feet. Ever since waking up, she had felt different. Her affinity with water had weakened somewhat--it now took more effort to control the water--but she could also control her physical movements better. Her chest also seemed to thump at every new stimulus that she encountered.
From doll to human... or close enough...? Sierra pondered. What had Luke and Davos done to her?
She flicked the water off her clothes, directed the stray droplets back into the tub and then started downstairs, where the most activity was. She could see the hole on the side of the wall where Sol left his mark and frowned disapprovingly. The she smiled again, marveling at her own emotions. Her responses were no longer subdued and distant.
Two upstairs--Kitchen--Study, The spirits informed. They seemed delighted that the Undine was enjoying herself.
"Good morning..." Sierra sighed at medium volume. Not loud enough to wake, but enough so those already awake would hear. It was a good morning indeed when she could walk on her own without falling over water molecules.

Constantine woke up, and an infernal buzzing and throbbing headache hammered into his skull.
It had been like that since he'd been "restored" by his AI, Ai. He was simply possessing his body, not really a part of it. The physical body had been easy to reconstruct using DNA samples and a cloning kit. It had even been rapid-aged to about 18 years old. Constantine had figured that last part out himself.
But he was a stranger in his own house, so to speak. The body seemed too... new. There were no problems with coordination or reflexes. In fact, they were better than before. But that was what disturbed him. He still wasn't used to being in a body completely without physical wear and tear, and actions occurred just out of step with his normal expectations.
And then there was the synchronisation problem. His "psyche" hadn't completely readjusted to the body, and some sort of rejection was going on. As a result, he now woke up with a permanent hangover, which thankfully went away after a while as long as he actually used his body.
And there came the hard part. "Using" his body, according to Ai, actually entailed physical exercise without the use of his powers. And even though this body was just as strong, if not stronger due to the lack of wear and tear, than his last, physical exercise during a hangover kind of hurt.
Groaning, he began stretching and preparing to run several rounds around the block. He'd get back to the stuff he'd been working on once his head had cleared.

Kamin was watching the sun.
The small orb of flame rose slowly in the sky, its orange light bathing the city of New Technia in a warm orange light. The Millenium Tower, a dark silhouette smack in the middle of the city, stood between the studio mansion she was currently standing in and the flaming majesty of the sun.
Watching the light diffracting around the edges of the steel-clad building, Kamin could not help but be enraptured by the beauty in New Technia's Minimalist architecture.
A mumbled sigh of greeting came from the second storey, carrying nuances of Sierra's speech patterns with it. No doubt she was awake. That was Kamin's cue.
Muttering a reply of "Good morning to you too", she tore her eyes away from the rising sun, stepping softly through the house. Constantine was gone running - she had heard him exit, just like the few days before. Sol was gone too - the crashing above could not have come from one less disconcerned with his surroundings.
Turning into the study, Kamin caught sight of a rapidly stirring Venser, buried unceremoniously under a large pile of books. She smiled slightly to herself.
"Good morning, Venser. Never too early to start studying, eh?"

"Indeed. Never too late to stop, either."
Venser scratched the bridge of his nose with the spine of a slim volume entitled Discourse on the Magical Method, then set it on top of the stack of books next to his seat of repose.
"Good morning to you too, by the by. Formalities aside, I trust we've got something to accomplish today - we'd best get to it, then, there's nothing to be gained by lazing about."
It was, perhaps, a strange thing to say so soon after waking, but he didn't feel that it was unwarranted. The issue had been on his mind from the moment he'd become aware of his current environment and its nature. But perhaps it was best to remain focused on the present moment.
"Perhaps we should rouse the others first. It wouldn't be fair for us to have all the fun, now would it?"

"Well, as much as I'd enjoy your sole company, we indeed have things to do. For one thing, the President has requested an audience with us, with regards to the matter of employing us to help her with some issue."
Kamin leaned against the doorframe. There was not much else to lean against, seeing as how Venser had achieved the feat of covering every square inch of leanable desk space with tomes of various genres.
"Miss Tatsuyama is coming to fetch us in about two hour's time. We've got until then to get ready."

Constantine set off on a run around the block. He jogged at a brisk pace, his mind slowly clearing as it synchronised with his body and neural system.
"Ai, bring up the schematics."
"Yes, sir."
Constantine glanced at the schematics for his latest invention with one eye, while keeping the other on the path. The invention showed promise, especially since he'd lost much of his powers after having to reconstitute this body. He still had his incredible intelligence, but his electromagnetic powers had been altered somewhat. All his former abilities to create and manipulate metal had mysteriously vanished, although he could still generate and control, to a certain extent, electricity.
But no matter. He was keen to make up for this shortcoming with his latest invention: the Shock Cannon.
It was based on the Eran Solar Cannon, an electrolaser which used the energy-multiplying, physics-defying Twilight to turn solar energy into a laser strong enough to ionise the air in its path, then, within a hundredth of a second, used the resulting plasma to channel a powerful electric discharge at the target. It was a devastating weapon that Constantine had seen in action, and he had finally gotten the time and motivation to apply that concept to his own designs.
The result would be a weapon powered by his own electric discharge which had a modifiable output: One setting would create an extremely powerful electric field, ionising and electrifying only the air in an elongated, roughly triangular area in front of the cannon's mouth, forming a contained plasma "blade". The other would fire the electrolaser proper.
As it was, it was already close to completion, and he couldn't wait to finish his daily exercise and go back to finish it.

"Well then, I may as well take the time to tidy up a little."
Venser waved a hand over the vast array of tomes arranged about the vicinity.
Have these returned to my private collection, I'm done with them for the moment.
At once, master. I exist only to serve your every whim, master.
Don't you get snippy with me. I wouldn't attempt planeswalking back to the Academy simply for reading material - it's your job to provide the means of transport between worlds when I need it.
Bienvenue à vie, amigo. Alright, alright, I'll get it done. Don't worry, I wouldn't make you return over such a petty matter.
The books shimmered light blue for a moment, then appeared to fade away into nothingness. They were actually part of the Academy's library's colleciton, but as Venser had become its sole proprietor, he felt no compunction about summoning a shelf or two across worlds for some bedtime reading. Still, he had to ensure that they were returned on time.
"I daresay our friend's impulse for impromptu interior redesign has served as an effective wake-up call. What say we look about the house for the rest, so that you can inform them of our objectives for today?

It seemed that four people were up already. The rest seemed to be lost in dreamland.
Sierra poked her head into the study, though she already knew what Kamin and Venser were up to from the chattering of the spirits.
"Hello, I happened to hear your conversation. Are we to idle in this residency until this 'Miss. Tatsuyama' arrives?" She asked mildly.
She pushed the door open in order to step into the room, but being used to her old vessel, she used too much force and flew along with the swinging door.
Ah! Steady.. She froze before her face fell flat on the floor. Upon closer inspection, one could see thin strands of liquid wrapped around her, keeping her up.
She straightened from her ridiculous position and brushed herself off. "Excuse me."

Kane had explored a fraction of the huge city, taking in new sights and observing peoples' behavior. Many had stopped him to ask about his unique armor, marveling at it's extreme mass and thickness, but yet high level of fluidity and smoothness of its motion. But Kane didn't bother to answer them in detail, he wasn't a Tech Priest, after all. A pretty unique, large looking home loomed ahead. Could it be?As he took a step forth across the street, something ran into him. Looking down, it was a teenage boy. "My apologies." He bent down and helped him up. "Do you happen to be an occupant of this household? I seek to join a group of highly skilled individuals recommended to me by my last employer, they were said to have participated in a recent war." His query was rather blunt, but eloquence wasn't really a forte for people like Kane. [[OoC: the boy is Constantine  ]] |

Constantine nodded. The armoured guy looked like an Eran Predator mech on waaaay too many steroids. He'd be handy to have around in case something broke out again.
"Yes, I currently occupy this house... which now has a hole in the wall. Excuse me while I fix that."
Constantine sighed. He was used to this kind of thing happening. Heck, he'd even been the cause of it once. But seriously, couldn't someone just use the damn door?
He opened the little medicine bag he carried around, and removed a red spray container. Shaking it a little, he sprayed it in the general area of the hole, and it formed a layer of whitish, suspiciously soft-looking substance several millimeters thick.
"Insta-wall. A mist of sticky, hypercompressed, hyperabsorbent particles that absorb nearly all the water in the air around them and expand to ridiculous sizes, turn gooey, then adhere to each other and to whatever surface happens to be near them. Also shear thickening, so it's bulletproof. Theoretically. My own invention, if you wanted to know, and this is the first time I've used it."
He proceeded to introduce himself to the armoured guy.
"I'm Constantine Ward, one of these 'special individuals' you're looking for. My powers are over genius-level intelligence and a relatively weak control over electricity. And you are?"

Kane watched and marveled as the smaller figure created a wall... Out of a spraycan.
"... And you are?"
Kane stood straighter, and some dust that had collected flowed off his immense bulk.
"I am Master Sergeant Kane Xenophobius, Adeptus Astartes of the Ultramarines, servant and loyal warrior to the Emperor of Mankind."
He removed the flagstaff from his back, and planted it before him, the tattered flag flapping vigorously in the wind, the golden eagle emblazoned upon it seeming to take flight.
"My mission in this world is to fight and bring honor and glory to the Empire, but I welcome allies and will fight alongside them for a common purpose. Perhaps you can assist me in being acquainted with the rest of your party?"
He placed a fist over his chestplate.
"I swear that I will be a useful addition in any future conflicts."

"I see you've gotten better at moving around." Kamin voiced mildly.
"Well, she's coming to pick us up from here, so I expect as long as we're back by the stipulated time it'll be fine."
The faint sound of aerosol from the outside and the rather much louder footsteps had caught her ear, so she quietly excused herself and pensively headed out through the front door. The wall nearby was a slightly different colour from what it used to be; no doubt a result of Mathus' two left feet, and Constantine's ridiculous everything-in-a-can sprays.
Constantine spraying a wall out of a can was suitably unsurprising; the giant power suit next to him was not. She struggled to keep her face straight even as the hulking block of metal blocked her view of the sun.
"Constantine, what - or who - is this?"

"Morning, Kamin. This is Kane. He's an Ultramarine from the Imperium of Man. Don't worry, he's human, though I thought he was a mech too at first. He wants to join us, and I'm all for him joining up. We could use more actual muscle around here."
Constantine looked at Kane, then at the door, then at Kane again, and raised a finger in suggestion.
"One thing, though. We might need minor renovations. Of course, I'll be more than happy to help with those."

Tsubasa stirred; then propped herself up.
Her crumpled wings were particularly painful, if not cumbersome. She instinctively retracted them.
"Wake up already."
Physically she was functioning but her more prominent conscious was still dazed. Half-asleep. Fading. There wasn't much to it, she just wanted to return to sleep. Sleepiness made her grumpy. Grumpiness made her irate. Irate meant irrational.
Rationalizing all of these, she decided sleep was much better after all. Her head hit the pillows with a soft thud again.

Folding his arms, Venser followed Kamin outside. The rising clamor of other minds brought the presence of a few other people to his attention. One of them, Constantine, he knew. The other looked like a golem of some sort, but he dismissed that notion on the grounds that golems, as artificial constructs, were fundamentally incapable of cognition, and would not have been detected by his telepathy. There was a person somewhere inside the metal hulk, then... but what sort of person would encase himself within a block of metal willingly?
Well, it's not my place to pass judgment on things like this. Some people smoke, some people drink... some people walk around in their own coffins. It's a lifestyle choice, is what it is.
"Morning. I see we've made a new acquaintance; how fortuitous! Perhaps it would be more conducive to our palaver if we were to invite him inside; there's no need to stand on occasion. Shall we?"
He gestured towards the house. The stranger - Kane, or so he gathered - was probably too big to fit comfortably within the confines of the house, but if they were capable of creating walls at a whim, surely a little remodeling to accommodate a new friend wasn't too much to ask.
"I'll go look for the others while he's getting settled in, then."
Excusing himself, he headed back into the bungalow, to the study where he'd been resting earlier. There was another person of import here, the seraphic nymphet of dark descent, her every feature a gem of tortured perfection, her every move a glimpse of inspiration itself, Tsubasa.
The angel was currently curled up on a sofa with her face buried in a squashy cushion. Sitting down on the sofa's armrest, Venser tapped her shoulder in an attempt to rouse her.
"Rise and shine, beautiful. There's much to be done today, and lazing about isn't going to accomplish anything."

Tsubasa felt the gentle nudge, a slight tap on the shoulder. Her hazy surroundings gave way to the black-white iridescence of sunlight scintillating off the bungalow windowpanes. Everything was still in monochromatic hues; nothing had changed.
There was a soft correspondence by the voice within her, and then nothing more.
Her eyelids twitched open as she sat upright on the sofa, still tightly clenching the sofa cushion; only letting go of it to rub her eyes.
"Morning."
She turned to Venser and gave him a light smile. She didn't mind company sometimes.

"Hey, er, I interrupting anything?"
Jasper was standing in the doorframe (many people seemed to like standing in it), watching Venser and Tsubasa with what seemed like a look of comprehension on his face. A pan of fragrant bacon was still sizzling in the frying pan he was holding.
"Breakfast. Get it while it's hot, yeah?"
He went back into the kitchen, and set it down on a small corkboard pan base at the table.
"I'll be leaving for a bit, got some stuff to do. Be back when I'm needed."
Hanging up his apron, Jasper grabbed a small bag then went out the front door, waving to the ragtag bunch of people and the power mech on his way down.
"Oh, Jessica. Yeah, I'm off for a bit. Don't wait up later."
As Jasper took off down the street, Jessica came up, her light yellow hair burning in the dawn light.
"Hey guys, I heard that a forklift was looking for the Dream Team. This the forklift?" She gave Kane a rather quizzical look.
"Well, if he's joining then I guess a bit of cutting is in order. Constantine, you got that Doorframe-in-a-Can ready? I feel like a bit of DIY here and taking this cinder block apart myself."
With a slight grin on her face, Jessica pulled off the black cardigan she was wearing, its form shifting into that of a rotating buzzsaw. The Mimis Porta du Ferro - the Iron Window of Replication was a feared shapeshifting weapon, capable of taking on any form its user desired as long as it was a weapon that did not fire any form of projectiles.
Licking her lips, she brandished the buzzsaw, looking at Kane.
"So, you need this wall down or not?"

"I can't exactly give you a doorframe with the canned wall, but I assure you I can at least transform the doorway to an even-sided version of whatever shape you cut it into with that buzzsaw of yours."
Constantine thought for a moment, then continued.
"However, I could make passable reconstituted wood out of the wood and plaster that's gonna be left over. Let's see... superglue, turpentine, some water... and of course the plaster and wood chips from smashing that wall. That's about all I need to make artificial wood paste for a doorframe. I'll go pick up the materials."
He disappeared into the house, and rummaging could be heard in the storerooms and among his belongings, and he soon returned with an industrial-size bottle of superglue and a small tin of turpentine in one hand, a large bucket of water which he was dragging on the ground in the other, a long wooden pole on his back and a big smile on his face. He put down the things with a grunt, and straightened back up.
"I'm ready when you are."

"Well, what do you think?"
Venser gave Jasper a wryly sardonic glance, punctuating his question with a small laugh and a dismissive wave of the hand. Stepping off of the sofa, he looked down at Tsubasa and smiled in return.
"Sorry I can't present you with a more engaging aubade, but there are still a few members of this motley crew that I've yet to locate. We'll be heading off to meet the head honcho in a couple of hours, so take your time to freshen up in the meantime, maybe get some breakfast. I'll be looking around the house."
As he passed Sierra on his way out of the study, he casually brushed a spot of dirt off her arm - the poor dear had had an unfortunate encounter with the floor earlier, it appeared - and bid her good morning.
"You too, Sierra. Have a bite to eat, or nourish yourself as best you can before things get too crazy around here."
Walking upstairs, he identified the room that Yuki and Kuroi were sleeping together in by the unmistakable mental rhythms of dreamers.
I wonder if it'd be inappropriate of me to barge in on their private boudoir. Not that there's anything wrong with two men sleeping together... lifestyle choices, and all that jazz.
After a brief moment of ambivalence, he decided to awaken them in as discreet a manner as possible, so as not to disrupt their idyll tryst. Knocking on the door lightly, he spoke just loudly enough to be heard through it.
"Morning, gentlemen. If you're presentable, please make your way downstairs as soon as it's convenient for you. We have some matters to discuss as an assembly."
Hopefully any amorous activity they might have been engaged in would be brought to a climax - and a resolution - before too long. Well, not too short, either - he didn't want to cast aspersions on the prowess of their privates.

A forklift?
Kane wasn't amused by the snide remark, he wasn't amused by many things, anyway.
His eye slits glowing a ghastly green, he directed his steely gaze toward Jessica.
"If you are inclined to insult another, you may at least do it in private, should you offend them."
Looking at Constantine scurry about gathering materials to adapt the door to Kane's sheer mass, he thought about the futility of it all.
"I think there is no need for such adaptations, Constantine. Even if this doorframe is fixed, every other one inside your house will have to be fixed, which I think would be too much to ask of you. If you had a garage or something similar here, I will be content to rest in it."

"Ah, no, it wasn't an insult. There was a rumour going around and one of the people up top actually told me a sentient forklift had come looking, so I was wholly prepared to actually find one."
Jessica leaned into the buzzsaw with relish. Little flakes of fibreboard flew out from the cataclysm of gnashing concrete and various building stuff.
"Too much weird stuff going around these days, so people tend to believe what they hear, and what they hear tends to get distorted. Why, this same gang of people somehow turned into God's Right Hand men or something after about two hours of them appearing at the headquarters building."
The doorframe was large enough now. She pulled the buzzsaw out, and it turned back into a jacket. She dusted it off with her hand.
"As for the doors on the inside, relax, they're big enough. It's a pretty big place so it's more of detachments rather than doors. You'll have to stay out of the study and off the second level, though."
She put a hand on her hip and looked Kane once over again.
"We'll get a garage shipped over here ASAP, should be here before Miyo comes to pick you guys up. You want anything inside? Like, a weapons rack, or a lab, or something? It's just an extension we're dropping down beside the house, so it won't be much effort."
