Name: 'The Truth'
Age: 48
Gender: M
Species: Human
Appearance: A face ravaged both by time and battles. His face is adorned with scars, both the handiwork of his hands and the blade of his adversaries. Despite being the owner of such a ragged husk, his sense of fashion is rather modern, attired in a business suit. The only piece of visible armour shielding him from certain is a heavily stylized vest proudly carrying the blows it had sustained from blades and projectiles.
Perhaps the most outstanding feature of the man would be his left eye. With flesh and muscle almost absent around the socket, it is a wonder that his left eye is even present. It would take much grit to prevent oneself from looking away.
Personality:
Talkative is probably a gross understatement when describing this male. The Truth enjoys rattling on and on about ideals and morals, adding ambiguity more often than not. He appears detached from the material world, even in the heat of a battle his actions seem to be somewhat hollow. The elaborate adornments etched onto his face are the results of such a careless attitude.
He appears to be a rather sympathetic person on the surface although his actions do not fall in line with his words. Much of what he does or says is littered with contradictions.
He often calls himself an observer rather than a participant of events. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen.
History: It is only known that he was once played the role of a guardian. His charge remains unknown however he confesses that he failed in carrying out in duties and has ever since, decided to simply answer to the calling of the world, whatever that means.
Perhaps passiveness has nurtured the belligerent spirit within the man, urging him to take on a more proactive role in the making of the world's history.
Abilities:
Sympathy: The Turth's powers are derived from his understanding of the human mind's ability to create illusions and subjectivity. Through mere touch, he can transmit his own understanding of the material world to his foes, redefining their purpose and bringing them to his side. Of course, only the weak willed can be brain washed by this skill. For mentally stronger foes, their faith becomes shaken and their strikes will become more half-hearted.
Bulwark: Though his body may be battered, The Truth's physical training has given him a body able to withstand much punishment. His detached state of mind allows him to take blows without flinching or slowing down, although damage is still received in full.
Veritas: Perhaps an imitation of divine awakening. The Truth bathes his target in light, briefly revealing to them the truth of the material world. Against a foe with weak mental endurance, the experience will completely shatter the foe mentally. A stronger foe will suffer less drastic results. Those who emerge unscathed from the experience will find their spiritual powers enhanced, strengthening their mind in the process. It is both used as an offensive tool to purge the weak and a strengthening tool to test the strong.
Gear: The Truth's primary weapon is a pair of power gloves. He is able to enhance his body by shifting gears. However, the higher level the gear is, the greater is the risk to his body. Of course, with the Bulwark ability, he does not feel it full effects although it steadily destroys his physical body. He is able to add elemental damage into his attacks by changing gears but his body is not imprevious to the back lash of nature's raw power.
