"Well, it was kind of about Sierra being stuck behind you and stuff while you were running... but it kind of seems everything's fine now..." Kamin scratched her head sheepishly.
"...What were you doing, anyway? Why'd Marisa start randomly shooting stuff everywhere just now? Is it somehow related to that robber from just now?"

"Oh, about Sierra... Well, I didn't mean for that to happen..."
Yuki shrugged as he gave a sidelong glance to the sleeping girl he now placed on his shoulder. Thankfully, what he paid for his magic was generally a one-off deal with anything that was lighter than a tank, so he could have Sierra's weight stay at this reduced state for almost all of eternity. Such an ability did give him several avenues of abuse, but he did not have the precision or power for that right now.
"The robber is the least of anyone's problems at the moment though. Except possibly myself. Marisa was attacking a floating blood teddy bear of some kind, and I actually started running away from that. I'm new around here see, so I can't do much to fight back when people start blowing things up."
He sighed and turned towards the train station, walking purposefully.
"I'm going to New Technia to check out some evidence. Coming?"

Great. He tries to keep her off his trail and ends up leaving us with a mess on our hands instead.
Casting an appraising eye at the monstrosity that had recently been summoned into the teahouse, Venser noted a few important things. Firstly, it was based off dark magic. Secondly, its primary objective was physical assault. Dealing with monsters like this wasn't his area of expertise, but thankfully he'd learnt how to liberate theric energy before he'd even learnt to bind it.
It was simple enough to find the leylines keeping the beast anchored in this dimension. From that point, severing its connections to those lines was a breeze. Thusly disconnected, the beast's innate mana ties began to call it back to its homeplane - wherever that was.
Nowhere I'd want to be, I'm sure.
The newcomer didn't seem to have a feud with him, so he'd be fine with hanging back and letting her do as she wished.
Turning his attention to his newly arrived meal, he finished it quickly and neatly, leaving his payment on the table next to his utensils.
Where to go now? I could certainly do with a break from all this chaos...maybe I could take some time out to do some research.
He'd heard of a town that was basically built out of libraries somewhere close by, a place called Erutaretil. Perhaps he could find some answers there.

((OoC: She's not fully asleep, per se))
Oh, I'm flying... Urp...[/b]
Sierra bit her lip to stop herself from puking on Yuki Kurogane's shoulder, which she had been placed on. Once the movement stopped, she relaxed once more and tried to pay attention to what was going on.
He's going to New Technia on his own... Seems a bit frail... Might need help... The whispers jumbled together in a worried chorus.
I should go to... [/b] Sierra thought offhandedly as her mind began to drift.
Well, she seemed to be going with them already, so she just stayed silent and reorganized her mind & body processes. She was feeling slightly better now.
Sierra, we'll help you move if needed... Permission...?
Granted...[/b] Sierra opened the magical barriers around her power source to the spirits before really falling asleep this time.

"Well, sure." Kamin made to follow.
"What are we checking out, anyway? Or what first?"

Yuki turned to Kamin and grinned.
"We're looking for evidence, and a bomb. A bomb that can end the world as we know it."
It was honestly way too much for Yuki to handle, but that was part of the whole fun, now that he thought about it. An adversary that was weaker than himself was hardly much of an adversary after all, and it was not a heroic quest without a struggle. He would come out of this stronger for it too, and he doubted that any of the groups on the list would actually use the bomb that Marisa had made.
Mutually Assured Destruction was one thing, Individually Assured Suicide was another one altogether, one that nobody would ever go about doing without an extremely, extremely good reason.

"World ending bomb seems quite a lot like what Marisa would make."
Tsubasa had flown past the group and picked up the words. Of course, she was sensitive to a few certain words.
"But we'll probably be led on a wild-goose chase given our levels."
This isn't for us to handle, but the higher-ups, no?
Tsubasa unconsciously conversed with a rhythmn throbbing inside her head.

"Say Hayate...any worthy quest available at the moment? And..what's with the..drastic renovations?"
Sol asked Hayate after finishing his meal, pointing to the huge holes in what is left of the teahouse.

They haven't noticed me, so I might as well follow. Or maybe in this contest, stalk.
Tsubasa didn't like anything regarding stalking, so she opted to quietly follow instead.

Ayasaki Hayate
"Oh, the roof... that's something I'd rather not discuss." Hayate muttered idly.
"Oh, if you're looking for quests, Marisa seems to have something going on with the rest of your party. They're all probably in New Technia by now, so you have to hurry."

"New Technia eh? Thanks for the info then."
Sol quickly leave the teahouse and rush for the station while Hayate wasn't looking.
'Hopefully I don't get caught..else I probably have to pay for destroying more parts the teahouse with that lance..and the meal'

Entering the teahouse, Jasper stared at the departing human/demon.
"Ahhhh everyone's leaving already? I must be late!"
"Nevermind, I'll go to the dojo to train and look for people then. Bye Mr Teachouse Manager! Hope we can be friends when i come back!"

Kuroi Tsuki stood right in front of the tea house. It looked pretty fine on the outside, ignoring the rather oddly patched roofs and walls.
Seems like quite some things happened here before eh?
He put his hand on the door, ready to push it open, but he hesitated. He had heard that newbies interested in this "Roundtable challenge" usually gather here, and that not everyone was a human...
After walking through this door... No turning back i suppose...
Overcoming his fear for the unknown in his mind, Kuroi Tsuki finally pushed open the door, and took a step in. Putting on a casual look the best that he can, he gazed around at the seemingly just-renovated tea house.
Not too many visitors? Hmm...
He took a seat at the bar, crossing his arms and placing them on the table. While waiting for someone to come by, his tiredness overwhelmed him... Resting his head on his arms, his eyes gradually closed, just for a moment of rest.

95th Knight - Ayasaki Hayate
Hayate was busy tending with his own business, cheerfully humming away as he cleaned the banister of the staircase. There had not been any new arrivals for a while now, and things were very quite around the place.
I wonder how those guys are doing...
Hayate remembered the last group. They were a very random crew - their skills were all over the place and definitely didn't go together - but they were really memorable.
They've got a future here, definitely...
At that moment, Hayate noticed that there was someone sitting at the bar.
Ah, he must've come in when I was cleaning the upstairs rooms...
"Ah, welcome to Machigai Teahouse! Would you like some-"
On closer inspection, the guy appeared to be sleeping: There were huge rings around his eyes.
Wow. He hasn't had a good sleep in a while. Guess it's a new guy, they never get to rest on the ship... the trip here is horrible unless you're taking the plane.
Hayate sighed airily, made his way back onto the bar, and started to prepare a cucumber cooler for the latest arrival.

"...welcome... machi... house... you... -ome..."
Some words rang in Kuroi Tsuki's head as his consciousness start to take control of his mind. He stirred a little as his ears picked up the sound of glassware tinkling. Slowly, he sat upright and scanned his surroundings.
Hmm, not much changes eh...? Oh, seems like that's the owner of the teahouse.
Looking at the back of the teahouse owner, he studied his appearance and posture. From that, he felt a rather pleasant and calm aura from him. Kuroi Tsuki relaxed a little, and decided to break the ice a little. He hated being alone, he hated having no one to talk to or relate to.
"Heya, sorry being impolite and sleeping right on your bar. Are you the owner of this teahouse?"
Darn, thats quite a stupid question. "Are you the owner of this teahouse", isn't that just obvious!?
Kuroi Tsuki then carried on studying the little details of the architectural designs while waiting for a reply.

95th Knight - Ayasaki Hayate
"Yup, that's me."
Hayate gave the newcomer a little smile.
"Would you like a drink? And also, what is your name?"
He pulled a small martini glass from the glassrack, and retrieved a small metal shaker from under the table.
"I presume you're new to the Roundtable. Is there anything you'd like to ask?"

"Yea, sure thing. I'd like a nice warm latte. Add a little more milk than usual, I like it that way."
Kuroi Tsuki replied, turning his attention back to the teahouse owner's smiling face.
"And yea, I'm new to the Roundtable, heard alot about it already, you could just call me Kuroi Tsuki, or Kuroi, for short. Well, I guess the most important think I should ask now is, if there's any lodging service here? I'd like to stay for the day, and then catch up with my lost time later."
Kuroi Tsuki took in a deep breath after saying such a long sentence, and he gets rather nervous when talking to newly met people, that deep breath sure helps him calm his nerves a little.
"Oh, and, any idea where would I be able to do that?"
He finally ended his turn to talk. Giving a sheepish smile back to the teahouse owner, and spinning a spoon he found nearby around his thumb.

95th Knight, Machigai Teahouse Owner - Ayasaki Hayate
"As you requested~"
Hayate pulled out another glass from the cupboard, and started up the espresso machine. He pulled a shot made from the finest Arabica beans, and slowly drizzled it down the sides of the glass. Next, one and a half cups of full-cream milk, warmed consistently in a water bath to prevent the milk from burning, were layered in.
Hayate topped it off with a thick layer of hand-beaten milk froth and a sprinkle of chocolate powder, then served it to Kuroi.
"Here you go." Hayate smiled at Kuroi.
"As for lodging, you can just rest up here. I provide shelter to new participants in the Roundtable, but some old guys do come back here too."

"Ok then."
Kuroi Tsuki sipped at his warm latte, letting the taste wash over him.
Wow! This is just fantastic!
It has been a while since he had such a great cup of latte, and ever felt so relaxed. He took a las long sniff at the wafting scent of the latte, and slowly finished the rest of it.
"Amazing coffee beans and stuff you have there. For now, I'll just take a rest, and be back down just awhile before midnight. I sure hope you do serve midnight meals?"
Kuroi Tsuki questioned. Caffeine no longer served its usual effects on him. Instead, it helped him to sleep better and rest his mind. Feeling even more lethargic, he slowly made his way to the foot of the stairs, turning around to Hayate and waiting for his reply.

"Hai~"
Hayate turned away from his glasses and smiled at Kuroi.
"I'll have something prepared for you. Have a good rest then~"
Humming happily, Hayate pulled out some carrots and potatoes and started skinning them.

Kuroi Tsuki then walked up the stairs silently, so as to not cause any disturbance to anyone and went into an empty room. He dumped his seemingly empty bag onto the ground, took a quick shower, and set his body clock to wake him up at 11.30pm. No second earlier or later than that.
Within moments, he was lying face down on the bed. Snoring thunders out loud.
-----------------------
11.30 came as quick as how he drank his latte earlier on. His consciousness woke him up with quite a start. He stretched as much as he could, feeling his heels leaving the parameters of the bed. He got up and went to wash up, after which, he felt alive. The night, felt like his day. He took a glance out of the window...
At least the moon's still there..
He then made his silent decent down the stairs to welcome his midnight meal.

95th Knight, Machigai Teahouse Owner - Ayasaki Hayate
"Ah, welcome back."
Hayate smiled up at Kuroi. The only lights in the area were the bar lights, and they cast strong shadows into the corners of the teahouse.
"I've got your meal ready."
Hayate reached into the oven, and pulled out a glass plate. On it was a generous cut of salmon, basted in saffron and basil spice and baked with a dash of red wine sauce. A portion of mashed potato and carrot laid off to the side, garnished with black pepper and brown gravy drizzled over it. A stir-fried dish of seasonal greens in oyster sauce completed the picture.
"Please enjoy."

"Woah... Mama mia!"
Kuroi Tsuki was stunned by the amazing way the dish was presented. It smelt absolutely fabulous, and his mouth started to water.
"Itadakimas!"
Mouthful after mouthful, he never got bored by the fabulous taste, even the seasonal greens felt like heaven within his mouth. The texture of the salmon was something he had never felt in his mouth ever. The combination of spices and red wine was a taste that he would never forget. After a few moments, he slowly savored the final slice of salmon left.
"That must have been the best meal I ever had in my life! I should pick up some culinary skills from you, heh."
Kuroi Tsuki exclaimed. With his stomach filled, he felt like he could soar. He then took out the remaining money he had with him and placed it on the tabletop, and questioned:
"So, where could I possibly go to hone my skills?"

95th Knight, Ayasaki Hayate[/u]
"Thanks for the compliments!" Hayate grinned as his skills were praised over and over again.
"If you must know, generally the best place to train is considered the Tiger Dojo, but I've heard that the place works best only after you've gone out and met some enemy you can't defeat. Really though, actual combat is still the best experience. You should go out and do some fighting. I heard that there was a group going around doing random stuff lately, you should look out for them."
Hayate unconsciously glanced at where the hole in his roof used to be when he said that, and groaned inwardly.

"Hmm, okay. I wonder where should I go then. Thanks for the advice and company."
Kuroi Tsuki said as he stood up, and made his way to the door. He opened it, ready to face the dark and silent night alone... Or not? He hesitated a bit, before muttering to himself:
"Sigh, how I wish I had a party or something..."
Turning back, he put on a smiling face and waved goodbye to Hayate as he closed the door lightly. Then, he pulled his cloak tighter on himself, and proceeded down the silent street.
I'll be back. Someday, to learn how to cook like Hayate, mmm!
