Sierra woke. Or rather, it seemed like she did. She was not where she had been before the darkness had claimed her. There were swaths of blue and green dancing across her vision. She looked around, and was alarmed to find that the usually difficult motion was quite easy.
I am not on the Earthly realm. She realized. Her human appearance was replaced with her spiritual one. Shimmering cyan hair and a transparent blue image of a woman.
"I hope you don't mind that I broke into your spiritual sphere." A deep voice drifted over from her right. She turned to face an eerily familiar image of a young man with waist-length hair, bangs pulled back, and silver eyes. He was the source of the green waves. Usually, her spiritual sphere would have been all blue. It was each spirit's "personal space," so to speak. The source-pool of their power.
"The shock of losing your energy almost killed you, so I provided you with some of my mana." He continued before Sierra had a chance to reply. "If there had been natural water nearby, this would not have been necessary, but..." He shrugged and waved dramatically.
The corner of Sierra's mouth twitched. The man smiled.
I feel like I know this person.
"Who are..." She began, but was interrupted by the quick brush of his fingers against her lips. Sierra floated backwards in a flutter. When magical forms touched one other, it was... stimulating.
"A question for another time. Time is something we both seem to have a lot of..." He stared off to the left for a few seconds, and then resumed. "I will show you what is happening on the battlefield."
He reached out to Sierra again, finding great amusement at her shyness, and touched his forehead to her's. At once, dozens of images flooded her mind, and she sorted them all out instantly.
He is air, as I am water. She realized when the images had finished being projected. Something about that fact clicked in her mind. Mana Reid.
"What do you want to do now?" He asked before she had time to ponder.
Sierra's mind jumped to her vessel's current predicament.
"Please... help me dismantle my vessel." She said.
"As you wish."
The image of "Sierra" dissolving into water filled the two spirits' minds. As to not drench Tsubasa, who had bravely saved her vessel, Sierra sharpened the water into lances of ice, and shot them at Tsubasa's attackers. Much of the guidance was done by the air spirit by her side though.
"Thank you..." She breathed, shaking with effort from directing water in a separate realm. If he hadn't been sharing his mana with her, it wouldn't have been possible.
"How regrettable it is to dis-spell such a charming vessel." He sighed, and Sierra raised a brow. "The men on Earth will surely be in despair.
"What are you talking..." She began, but he interrupted her once again. She frowned.
"I cannot stay here much longer, but we will meet again. I will find you." He smiled teasingly, and disappeared in a vortex of green.
Only blue was left, along with the lingering touch of his forehead on her's. Without his mana to support her consciousness, she slumbered again, shifting through foreign images in a confused dream. The past..?

Kuroi Tsuki landed on his right side onto the ground with a dull thud.
"Ahhhoowww..."
The impact from his landing was considered pretty great for his bony physiques. He slowly got up, massaging his right arm, as he walked to examine the paper-like assassin.
"Hmm... I can finally understand why we can't see these fellas clearly...... Oh? Weird... But... This might come in handy..."
He then picked up both halves of the corpse, even though its dead, he could use the scythe-like arms of the creature as some sort of weapon.
"Let's get going Jasper... I think there's gonna be more of these "grim-reapers" around... Anyway, nice shooting."
He said to Jasper as he caught his breath. With his new "weapon" in his left hand, and his Katana still in reverse grip on his right, he got ready to advance to where he last heard Kamin's voice from. Until he felt a sudden change in the movement of air around him. The air moved like a gentle breeze from behind him, and several gunshots could be heard down the corridor.
He turned to look at Jasper with wide, shocked eyes. There was no time to look for Yuki, Kamin was now in greater danger.
Run!!! RUN!!!!
He egged his legs to carry him faster with each stride as he sprinted towards the sound of the gunshots.
Turning around a gentle bend, there he saw, Kamin with her back facing him, aiming the gun down onto the ground having finished her shooting.
Kuroi Tsuki's eyes became oddly blank. Those wings, that had carried him into the skies for the first time in his life, were stained red. A huge dark red patch was spanning almost the whole of the back of Kamin's shirt.
No... No way... Kamin!
The voice just would not leave his throat.

Ees Mkkril, Shield Generator Level 1
Mkkril hung onto Kamin's back with his scythes, fluttering about as she buffeted the area with wind once again.
Then she pulled out her pistol and managed to shoot him in the tail, but it didn't matter. He had her.
Digging deeper with his scythes, he was about to forcefully rip them out and terminally injure her when he vanished.
Ees Yjkril, Shield Generator Level 1
Yjkril awoke.
His twin, Ymkril, was getting up somewhere on the second floor.
Yjkril felt the grip of a foreign being around him, he then did what his instinct told him.
He buried his scythe into Kuroi's forearm.
Then he, too, vanished. So did his twin.
Ees Jkkril, Shield Generator Level 2
Jkkril had already pounced.
His scythes were a mere centimetre away from Jasper's neck when he disappeared without a trace.
Lieutenant Colonel Olivier Presche, Sector 13
Olivier deftly avoided the hail of ice shards, and blocked the last one with a sandbag.
Raising his rifle again, he aimed at Tsubasa and fired.
Lance Corporal Pontin Jackhammer, Sector 15
The HAMR cannon indicated it was ready to fire.
Rechecking the calibrations, Pontin was confident that his aim was dead on this time.
Screw you, meddling kids.
He hit the fire button. Another blastwave rocked the building as an artillery shell rocketed towards Tsubasa.
The Propella Pool
The antimagic field had finally stopped expanding.
Then, invariably, it began contracting again, until it finally collapsed within itself back in the propella pool.
Summoned units via the portal found themselves yanked back through space, returning to their homelands.
And magic was once again useable.
Vinnie Kelly
There was nothing, as far as the eye could see.
Where am I? All that I remember is... The stranger, the door, and... A sharp pain?...
She looked down at herself, her body was devoid of any vestments, but it was barely visible too, a white vessel against the white emptiness.
What is this? Am I... Dead?
A voice rang out through the emptiness.
"Your physical body is dead, Vinnie. But your soul lives on."
Why am I here? Am I about to be judged?
"Not exactly, Vinnie. Through your life, you have shown a pureness of heart, although you worked for less than noble beings, your belief in the sanctity of life and unwavering love that you have shown to those you knew has been deemed as enough to give you a second chance."
...A second chance? Am I going to be revived?
"Not exactly either, inquisitive one. You will be reborn as an Archon, and besides, don't you think it is time to repay the kindness shown to you by the stranger who spared your life?"
Yes. Nobody should have to die!
"Indeed, Vinnie. Go forth, and bring light to this darkened world."
A light, brighter and purer than the whiteness itself, enveloped her.
---
Vinnie found herself back in that familiar corridor.
However, this time, it was fully lit.
Odd... Wasn't the power out...?
She looked down again, her body, now in a corporeal, translucent form, was surrounded by a shroud of purity and grace, illuminating everything in her path.
Then she looked at the spot where she had died.
There was nothing, not a single drop of blood remained.
"Your physical body has been removed, such that your new body may exist."
She floated down the corridor, and approached the stairs, her body a beacon of light in the dark, dark corridors.
I've got to help the stranger!

Tsubasa was overwhelmed with magic. Her almost dulling senses were alert, throbbing with the consciousness of wind spirits gathering back. They were almost gleeful, echoing rhapsodies in eerie pitches. She could feel the rhythm of magic throbbing - her magic-circuit was back.
"Don't."
Tsubasa was aware. Her magic corresponded to her thoughts. There was no need for any chants. Tsubasa was instantly flanked by Valkyries that acted as interceptors to enemy-fire. A large twister immediately swept through the enemy lines, throwing and clustering scrap, steel and flesh together. She couldn't hear the voice thumping at the back of her head.
"Wait, stop! You're drowning me out!"
Tsubasa was berserk.

Sol opened his eyes and slowly stood up, to observe his surroundings.
'Ugh, what the hell was that flare..and seems like I have a new problem..'

(OoC: well. promos are gonna be over in a few hours time for everyone. so... imma just get the ball rolling first, since i'll be back home late tmr >_< )
A searing pain swept through him like a wave. It originated from his left forearm. He looked down just in time to see the weird creature with its scythe right through his arm, in between his radius and ulna bones. Before he could react, it was gone without a trace.
The shock of the event slowly died away. The pain from the wound was getting greater and greater. Blood flowed out of his arm and engulfed his left hand, just as how the pain overwhelmed his nerves. He was absolutely unable to react in a proper way he wanted to.
The blood... It has to... Stop... Flowing... How...? It... Hurts... Must... Not... Bleed... To death...
Is Kamin.... She's... Alright...?
The pain... Go away...
The others... Are they... Okay...?
It doesn't hurt as bad... As that day...
What now...? Am I gonna die...?
Random thoughts flew through his mind as he tried to organise them. Subconsciously, he fell to his knees, his right hand loosened its grip on the Katana, which made loud noises as it hit the floor. His head slid down in front of him, his neck muscles no longer responding to his brain. He then sat on his heels, both hands resting lightly on the floor, with the left one spewing blood continuously all over it.
His eyes were empty and his face, blank.
Pain... It hurts... Oow... Searing... Its killing me... . . . Kamin...?! Is she fine...?
He tried very hard to not think about the pain and raise his head to look at Kamin. But to no avail...
Someone... Save Kamin...

Technician Jen Kelly, Shield Generator Master Control Room
Jen shook.
Not with fear, but with bloodrage.
"RNNNGGG!!!" She threw her gun at the door. "DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT!"
Shocked personnel edged away from her as she continued on her crazy rampage and self muttering.
Then a dark, handsome voice reverberated in her head.
What a delicious potential for destruction... My dear... Is it vengeance you seek?
"WHO ARE YOU?! I'LL KILL YOU, BASTARD!"
Hahaha!
A cold, hollow laugh.
Not in that state you will... But with some... Assistance, yes, that's the word... I can grant you power enough to destroy your sister's killer...
The voice had deliberately ignored the fact that Vinnie was no longer dead, of course.
"... How?"
Just say the word... My precious...
"What word?! You telling me to sell my soul?!"
No! No, nothing of the sort, keep your soul... All I ask is to... Borrow it, yes, and in return I will grant you power until you decide you want your soul back... A fair trade, is it not?
Jen pondered the offering.
"S-Sounds fair, I guess. I submit."
Excellent! Would you like to begin now?
"Yes."
Immediately, pain beyond all mortal understanding was inflicted upon her body, her back arched impossibly as a silent scream of agony erupted from her gaping mouth. Dark green tendrils of unholy energy crept their way out of her eyes as her pupils disappeared.
Jen fell to the floor, gasping. She felt larger, stronger. Her hands now ended in vicious black nails, each ten centimetres long, and sharpened to a deadly point. A long, barbed tail had erupted from the base of her back, and large wings kept themselves folded on her back. Her skin was now a pale white, but she wasn't a brute, her form was still sleek and quick.
But she was still, no less, a demon.
Go on. Test it out.
The voice seemed to indicate her former colleagues.
Turning around to look at them, she could see the shock and horror in their eyes, her face still retained a certain form of her former look, but her eyes were unfathomable dark pits, seeming to steal the soul of any who dared to look her in the eye. Two sleek horns also curved away from her skull, undoubtedly ready to play a part in impaling any unfortunate should she decide to charge.
Gunfire erupted from those who still held their senses, but bullets either pinged uselessly off her skin or left marks that healed instantly.
Chaos reigned inside the Master Control Room.
Vinnie Kelly, Shield Generator
Oh where is he?
Not long after she had wondered that she encountered the form of Kuroi sprawled on the floor.
"Oh my!" She gasped.
A gigantic pool of blood had formed on the first floor, an unknown winged figure stood, albeit with torrents of blood still pumping from her heavily injured back.
"You're all terminally injured! Oh no, how-"
She temporarily forgot her strength as an Archon, but a now familiar voice made her remember.
Vinnie, use your newfound powers. Save your friends.
Wisps of the purest light began forming on her palms, as she brought them together to form a swirling nova of healing energy. Raising above her, she clapped her hands together, and it burst in a wave of energy.
The intermingled blood remained on the floor, but wounds started to close, leaving clean, unmarked skin in their wake. She could see Kuroi's prone form visibly relax, being no longer in pain.
Bending down, she picked Kuroi up and looked into his still blank face.
"Oh, I'm so sorry! It's all my fault!"
Lieutenant Colonel Olivier Presche, Sector 13[/b] Agh! A swirling whirlwind had appeared out of nowhere and nearly engulfed him, luckily, his years of training and experience kicked in, allowing him to avoid the worst of the storm. The other less experienced soldiers, however, were not as lucky. Soldiers and equipment were tossed about in the crazily turbulent air, some were already dead while others flailed about hopelessly. Keeping on the ground to avoid being sucked up, he slowly crawled up to a hole where a shell had impacted, offering him greater safety. Some others who had not been swept up looked at him, and he jabbed his finger at Tsubasa. They made their way to a sturdier AA-gun emplacement that had not been ripped up and piled themselves inside. One of them commandeered the controls and aimed it at Tsubasa. He couldn't hear it, but he could see as the twin barrels began spewing fire and flak at the still, floating figure.[/s] THE ULTRA BIG CRUNCH OCCURS AND EVERYTHING IS GONE. THE END

Thank you. Saved me the hassle of creating some pseudo-fantastical way to end the entire thing here.
Next stop: Ren-ai Table.
