Kamin suddenly noticed that she was very much alone. The dust around her settled - Venser was no longer there.
Where's he gone...?
The planes were flying away - engaging another enemy. There was someone floating in the air with Marisa - presumably backup.
She didn't know what to do now. So she did what she thought she could.
I'll come back to find you later.
She flew in. Barely grazing the top of the walls that surrounded the entire base.
Now, with the air cavalry out of the way, she could enter via the air. Of course, there was still anti-air, but she could move in.
The Propella loomed nearby, a swirling mass of light threatening to pull her out of the sky. She furtively skirted the edges of the base, far away from the lake. The shield generator was just ahead.
Perhaps that was her way in. She dropped and rolled, shells from the anti-air cannons grazing her slightly as she entered the shield generator.

Designated Marksman Leu de'Gaulle, Sector 13
Leu spotted the figure dashing towards the generator.
"Attention all units! Hostile spotted making a beeline straight for the generator! Take him out!"
Shouldering his rifle, he fire off three shots, two of which were close misses while one hit the insurgent in the shoulder, though it didn't seem to faze him.
Dozens, almost hundreds, of heavy machinegun turrets, 'Nailers', they liked to call them, due to their unusually huge and long nail-like projectiles, trained in on Yuki and fired.
Tanks fired their main cannons, the resulting blastwave of sound breaking the monotony of the defense.
Even with the massive onslaught, the inhuman character still continued his mad dash into the generator, even after having sustained some serious damage.
"Command! This is Designated Marksman de'Gaulle, in Sector 13! Another hostile has broken through the line into the generator!"
Lieutenant Colonel Oliver Presche, Neumann Base Command Hub
"Roger that, Marksman."
Removing a bright red key from his coat pocket, he heaved a sigh.
I never thought I'd have to use this. Time to go all out.
Moving to a console in the center of the room, he spoke into the radio.
"All units in Sector 13, you are advised to stay clear of the border between Sector 13 and all other Sectors. We will be activating the Wall in five."
Counting down, Olivier pushed the key into a matching bright red slot and entered the passcode.
Walking to the console where First Lieutenant Ian Ambrose had authorized the auto defense of the Shield Generator, he typed in several commands.
Returning to his console, he gave more commands.
"Second, fifth and ninth Mechanized Infantry, you are to don your tesla suits and move to the edge of the base. If the powerplant fails, we'll have to rely on you to keep the tesla towers going! Command out!"
Second Sergeant Eelyn Mernivre, Sector 13[/u]
Eelyn and her squad had just managed to enter Sector 13 when the Wall was activated.
A series of tiny holes opened up on the border of Sector 13. She knew what it was, everyone knew. The FireWall.
Having a vertical range of three kilometres, it was capable of advanced movement prediction and of course, the ability to burn anything that moved across that barrier at degrees of up to 7000K.
Technician Vinnie Kelly, Shield Generator Main Stairwell Level 2[/u]
Vinnie watched as the strange figure approached her, she calmed down somewhat, he didn't appear that menacing.
"I-"
More alarms blared throughout the corridors. The walls began glowing a sickly red.
The maximum security protocol had been activated.
Soon, thousands of lazors appeared out of nowhere, the intricate network they formed so formidable that only a master of master martial artists would have been able to avoid.
She was trapped, and so was the stranger, who nearly got his nose cut off by a lazer that had appeared right before him.
"Oh no... We're so dead... So, so dead..."
She curled into a fetus position, sobbing.
Technician Jen Kelly, Shield Generator Master Control Room[/u]
They said twins were telepathic with each other. She didn't really believe it.
But now she did.
Almost right after the maximum security protocol was initiated, she felt this intangible sense of hopelessness tugging at her.
This feeling, the feeling of no escape! Could it be? Vinnie is still trapped outside!
She approached the Overseer.
"Please, deactivate the lazers! My sister is still outside!"
However, the Overseer merely shook his head.
"I'm sorry, Jen. There is nothing we can do. It's all controlled by HQ."
First Warrant Officer Alan McDallen, Sector 13
"I think the grubs got it covered here, guys, let's go assist the forces outside the base."
The seven Mil Mi-42s turned as one, increasing altitude to five kilometres before exiting the Sector, heading towards the firefight outside the base.
If there's more out there, we'd better neutralise them before they can get in.
Specialist Jung Nikolov, Sector 68[/b]
Jung didn't reply to HQ.
Instead, he immediately moved to the armory to requisition his tesla suit.
The others were there as well, putting on the two hundred kilogram armor that made them silver warriors of lightning.
Each suit is capable of withstanding megavolts of electricity, extremely high currents, and not to mention is also too tough to be run down by vehicles.
Falling into step, they marched towards the Tesla Coils, a quiet, ominous procession.
Corporal Frank Tainsten, Sector 13
Frank squinted into the clearing sky.
A figure approached from the sky, just barely high enough to avoid the FireWall.
"Enemy spotted! Up there!", he yelled.
Instantly, AntiAir units, both rapid firing flak cannons and slower aircraft-gutting .80 cal turrets turned to face the new threat.
Flak shells and huge bullets sped towards the target in the sky.

Jasper had just jumped up to where kuroi was by emulating his footsteps when the lasers were activated.
"YES! See, I'm just as nimble as you... AHH WHAT!?"
Lasers shot across his torso and trapped him in a spot two meters high with a base area of a square with sides one meter across.
"Jeez whats this! Kuroi, this is getting irritating."
Talking to the young woman sobbing away on the ground, "Stay calm. We're not going to harm anyone here."
Jasper brought up his lightning arc. He flicked the setting to its highest level with some sort of reverence.
"Lucky i chose this instead of another weapon..."
Stroking the trigger gently, Jasper aimed at where the beams of lasers that surrounded him originated, and tapped the trigger.
A lightning bolt arced from the gun, forking out into multiple bolts of electricity, targeting all the laser emitters in an area of 10 meters, and also resulting in an explosion of an electromagnetic field similar to an EMP blast wave in a small area where it hit, causing a chain reaction that targetted all the laser emitters in the walls on that floor, overloading them and therefore shorting them out. At the same time, the lights went out.
Darkness ensued, with a satisfying smell of charred circuits.

"Woah..."
Kuroi Tsuki mouthed as a laser nearly singed off his nose. He stopped in a rather unnatural position and stood still for a moment, thinking of what to do as he saw the lady curling up in submission to fate, as if it was the end of the world.
All of a sudden, an explosion of EMF ran through the corridor, it came from Jasper. Instantly Kuroi Tsuki felt the microchip in him vibrating a little, and a blackout had occurred.
Oh boy...
The smell of burnt circuits filled his nostrils and choked him slightly.
"I have no idea what is going on outside Jasper... But I sure hope you can find your way in the dark..."
Kuroi said as he turned to somewhere he thought Jasper would be. Then, he turned back to face the position where the girl was.
"Give me your hand, tell me where can we find a safe place where there would be no lasers once the power comes back on. Alright?"
He stretched out his right hand, hoping that she would stretch out her hand too, so that they may get to safety quickly before more trouble arrives.

Hakurei Reimu
Reimu watched as the eighteen planes congregated on her location, leaving Marisa panting as she gasped to catch her breath after non-stop dodging for the past five minutes.
The 29th Knight Team - one of the top thirty. Exceptionally high powered - and there were eighteen of them.
They were no match for her.
[–²‘z“V¶.]
RADM William C. Reiss, Head of Elite Ops, Neumann Base
Reiss grinned. Everything was going according to plan.
Very soon, the stupid witch would be removed from the equation, and there would be nothing stopping him from taking out the floating base of New Technia.
The eighteen dots on his radar winked out.
What?!
He quickly turned on the video cameras that were mounted on the base, the cameras that scanned the skies.
Eighteen planes were dropping to the ground, trailing thick black smoke - his planes.
The 29th Knight team. All taken down in a single shot.
He stared hard at the screen. A black dot occupied its centre.
"Harper! Give me 8x zoom pronto!"
The Liutenant hurried to comply. The screen froze, then blew up.
The image of a girl with a red ribbon in her hair could be clearly seen.
Reiss squinted at her image.
Who is she...?
This was a major problem. It threw a wrench into the entire system.
Emergency procedures would have to come immediately.
Kirisame Marisa
Reimu looked around her.
"Well, that's that, then."
She turned to Marisa.
"Well, if that's everything, I'll be gone kthxbye!"
And she was gone.
Marisa sighed. Well, the problem was over now.
She would have to catch her breath for a bit, though.
Pulling up on her broom, she headed toward Dragnea Base.

Jasper cocked his head to his left and listened closely. Down the corridor, humming continued.
Dang, wasnt too effective after all. Lucky the lightning arc's made of tougher stuff and is still working, though the nanobots seem to be shorted out
Jasper strode towards his last noted position of Kuroi.
The transmitter doesnt seem to be working either...
"KUROI ITS TIME TO MOVE!"

((OoC: Lol @ you guys having an argument in the middle of the RP.))
Whilst she, along with several other members of the group, were somewhat safe, someone else was not. Sierra felt a sense of rising panic when Kamin shot off on her own towards the base's shield generator. It peaked when she realized that Kamin was then being shot at.
Oh no! I have to help her. She ran forward, temporarily forgetting the effects of Propella.
She was reminded several hundred steps later when her muscles seized up, just for a second, and she stumbled, rolling several times due to the momentum.
"Ow..!"
--- HP: 280 / 300 (-20) MP: 350 / 400 (this from maintaining her mirror cloud. it's still around her 30 m) ---
The Undine sensed the streams of Propella floating in the air, and it intoxicated her. It was dangerous.
She kept running, her water assisting her so that it almost seemed as if she was floating above the ground. It was all she could do to maintain her cloud of mirrors. It would seem like a large shimmer to outsiders until she slowed down and steadied them.
Kamin, Kamin, please be ok. Sierra willed, even though the half-angel would have no way to hear her.
Then her cloud hit an odd barrier several meters ahead. She pushed her shards of ice forward. They melted instantly, unable to stand against the superior heat. Further penetration was impossible. Unless she could fly, that is.
Regardless, she frowned. The eerie humming of Propella tugged at her soul. Alluring yet fatal. If she wanted to press forward, she would not leave with only a few scrapes... if leave intact at all.
If only there were some way to bring to the fight to us, instead of standing useless on the sidelines.

Actually no, since she flew in before the firewall was up.
"So the plan's to sit and wait?"
And rush in when they down the defence systems.
All Tsubasa could do now was recuperate.

"The nanobots wore out." Yuki stated matter-of-factly to himself as he entered the building, his right side a bleeding mess from the sudden failure of his main defences. Thankfully, he still had more than enough toughness himself to take a few bullets, and he could still move around more or less as per normal.
"Also, the lights are out, but that never really stopped anybody from moving on." He continued as he ripped a long, nail like bullet out of his arm, never one to let something like a body full of lead slow him down. Yuki continued forward with impunity, albeit at normal walking speeds this time, since light was limited and he had no intention of randomly running around in the dark.
"On the other hand, the lasers are still working." He eventually said to himself as he reached the first of what he assumed would be many defensive arrays. They did not look like laser tripwires to say the least, and those were normally tucked away and hidden. Which meant these were laser torches that would cut his face off if he got too close, and would be hilariously deadly if they were less obvious.
"As it stands, whenever I see them, I can do this." Yuki declared to nobody in particular as he drew his WaveForce katana, the blade humming in his left hand, and sliced at the walls of the building until there was enough space for him to stick his hand through.
"Because thankfully, I'm way stronger than most contractors bothered to account for." He finished as he jammed both of his hands into the hole he made and with a heave, ripped the first layer of the wall right off, exposing and damaging the delicate circuitry beneath in the process.
The idea was simple. Laser grids needed something to feed them power, much like ordinary lamps. They also needed about a hundred thousand times more electricity. That meant wires, which were most definitely underneath the walls. Once he had these wires exposed, destroying them was child's play.
After a minute of ripping and tearing, Yuki proceeded to continue walking towards his target.

Technician Vinnie Kelly, Shield Generator Main Stairwell Level 2
Vinnie opened her eyes to see Jasper fire his lightning arc at the walls.
Instantly, there was a flash of light and the sound of live wires spewing electricity.
The smell of ionized air was strong, not to mention the sudden burst of energy had made her hair stand on end.
The lights were out, but she knew that even with that massive electrical discharge, only the lazers in this corridor had been destroyed.
There's practically a seperate conduit for each corridor...
She was somewhat less anxious though, at least she was safe... For now.
Looking at Kuroi and his outstretched hand, she gingerly put hers in his.
Technician Jen Kelly, Shield Generator Master Control Room
The feeling of anxiety subsided.
Someone had also shouted, "The circuits outside have been fried! There's no lighting anywhere!"
Are the attackers coming nearer? Have they done anything to Vinnie? I swear if they did I'd pursue them to the ends of the planet and kill them!
Consoles in the room indicated that there was no power being supplied to the lights outside, and that some lazer defenses had been fried or simply deactivated.
Vinnie, please come back safely!
Private Roy Nellar, Sector 13[/u]
The FireWall flared momentarily, steam rose out of nowhere, then all was quiet again.
"Sir, you seeing this?"
The Sergeant nodded.
"Indeed, Private."
They stared as a slight wavering in the air moved ever so slowly towards the shield generator.
Roy motioned to a few of his fellow soldiers, and they crept towards the anomaly, firearms raised and aimed at the center of the formation.
First Warrant Officer Alan McDallen, Sector 22
He could see smoke rising on the horizon.
Thick, black plumes, which probably meant burning tyres or something, he couldn't remember.
As they flew over several sectors, he noted the dissected bodies of dead soldiers on the ground, a completely collapsed building, and not to mention several other heavily damaged ones.
Reaching the outer sector of the base, they neared the buzzing Tesla Coils, and saw the carnage that had been wrought outside.
Numerous shell craters pockmarked the ground, and the wrecks of several planes still gave off the smoke he had seen earlier.
Well, what the hell...

Kuroi Tsuki felt a soft touch on his hand. He was glad that the lady had trusted him.
"Sorry to be a little offensive, but...."
He helped her up onto her feet while slinging his Katana over his shoulder again. Then he placed his right hand from behind the lady onto her right arm, bending down, he scooped her up with his left hand; very much like carrying a child.
"Everything is gonna be alright... Would you mind telling us how do we get to the main control room, or at least... Somewhere safe?"
Then, echos of metal being ripped at and tossed around, along with more choking smell of fried circuits came from behind them. He turned around to see that the lasers far behind them disappeared, and the familiar sound of Yuki's armour clanking slightly on the ground rang in his ears.
"Seems like we have back-up..." He smiled to himself in the dark and said softly to the lady.
"Yuki, over here!" He said not too loudly as Yuki approached them.
"Let's not waste anymore time then..."
He murmured softly to the lady once again, hugging her close to him to prevent her from falling, and possibly, give her a greater sense of security, as he made his way gently and briskly down the corridor.
Let's not take anymore innocent lives...

((OoC: I edited my post to coincide with NPC's post. Well, I don't supposed Sierra will be losing HP unless she is actually able to get by the Firewall -_-. I will edit again if you still think she should lose HP. You have to define "close" for me, because I'm just not getting the mental picture of the base right. Sorrysorry.))
When you cannot go to them, bring them to you. Sierra realized the second several armed men aimed their guns in her general direction. The Steam. They couldn't see her, but if they all opened fire, doubtless at least one bullet would hit her.
I was careless. Her brow furrowed in disappointment--at herself. She had allowed one moment of panic disrupt her carefully composed calm. It was time to redeem herself.
Without moving from her position several meters beyond the Firewall, she crouched to minimize the target, and extended her mist outwards as far as she could without losing control. In the end, she was able to manage up to eight points of condensed ice crystals that were positioned randomly along the Firewall.
One at a time now. Sierra slowly let out the breath she had been holding and flicked her wrist. Eight random points on the Firewall released clouds of steam at random intervals.
Come, investigate. Though even if they chose to shoot at Steam Cloud number 1, she was ready.

Tsubasa now tasked herself to back Sierra up from a distance, or intervene at enemy approach. Taking out patrols would meant directing most of the defense towards them though, but Tsubasa guessed that they could easily hold their own.
"This isn't much of an option you know."
Tsubasa readied herself to attack.

"Yeah, I can see where you are. I assume you two are the reason behind all the lights being shorted out? No matter, we can use that to our advantage." Yuki replied as he approached Kuroi and Jasper, taking care not to go too close. Half of his body was a mess, and as far as he could tell, the injuries were not something to write home about. They were probably, to say the least, disgusting.
"Let's continue moving. I'll need something alcoholic, running water, and bandages, and soon. I'd rather not have to stop unnecessarily." He suggested as he tried his best to take charge of the situation. Needless to say, this was not something a person would have to go through very often, and as the one who initiated the quest in the first place, Yuki felt compelled to lead it. Not to mention he was probably the strongest fighter by far amongst the three of them, but that was neither here nor there.
"Oh, and we're completely surrounded, so if anyone has any good ideas about how to get out of the base once we've powered down the shields, please bring them up as soon as possible. Those soldiers are pretty trigger-happy, and my nanobots have already given way."

Technician Vinnie Kelly, Shield Generator Main Stairwell Level 2
The unexpected movements by Kuroi caught her off guard. She squirmed a little.
This is really uncomfortable...
Looking back over his shoulder, she saw a new character enter the corridor.
The man had half his upper torso mangled by what looked like heavy machineguns and shrapnel, turning it into nothing much more than bone splinters, charred flesh and heavily bleeding bullet holes.
Something moved in her stomach, up her esophagus, and into her mouth.
She puked onto Kuroi's face.
"Sorry... I don't like blood..."
Ees Mkkril, The Portal
The small team stepped through the portal.
Mkkril was a Nilroidrian, one of the stealthiest races in the known Universes, having the ability to slink through air vents soundlessly, to move through well lit rooms without a shadow, and to become paper thin, making it near impossible for anything to see him if he were facing them directly.
His other two teammates were the same, none used weapons, or armor, for that matter. The scythes on their hands were all that were needed.
They slinked into the Generator, through the door, the air vents, and the sewage system.
Private Roy Nellar, Sector 13[/u]
All of a sudden, more flashes of steam erupted at the firewall.
"Shoot them!", cried their Sergeant.
The squad sprayed bullets at the clouds of steam, attempting to contact an invisible enemy.
Second Sergeant Eelyn Mernivre, Sector 13
Eelyn positioned the Elephant smack right in the middle of Sector 13, where it's minimum range radius would just be able to hit anything outside of Sector 13.
She looked at Porville next to her, he was a good man at heart.
"Hey, Porville, sorry about your squad..."
It was an awkward moment, Porville merely nodded and wiped away a tear. Not knowing what to do, Eelyn kept to herself and focused on the controls once again.
Lance Corporal Pontin Jackhammer, Patrol Squad Theta, Sector 22
Pontin lugged the J229-HAMR with him.
Their squad was on patrol outside Sector 13, ready to intercept and eliminate any hostiles they would encounter.
The squad leader, Third Sergeant Rene Myoka, stood in the RR-71 Breamer Medium Tank, while the rest of the squad marched behind.
Unlike his comrades, Pontin actually enjoyed using the J229-HAMR, or better known as, the 'Backbreaker'. Notorious not only for it's massive weight, but also it's ability to tear off your shoulder should you be stupid enough to shoulder-mount it and fire, it was nonetheless a powerful both anti-tank and anti-personnel weapon. Deployment on the ground was the safest and most effective way of using it, though most tanks also had slots to mount such weapons.
Soon they would make a loop back to the armory for a break, but until then, they would have to stay alert.
Coffee!
Specialist Jung Nikolov, Sector 85
His squad reached a pair of tesla coils.
Breaking formation, they moved through the trapdoor and into the underground inner workings of the complex machine.
Finding ports shaped like their gauntlets, they stuck those in, providing a boost towards the coil's already immense power, and if the main power source failed, the four of them would be able to keep the coil functioning.
Such deadly spare batteries we are... He mused to himself.

"Oooh boy..."
Kuroi Tsuki spat out some of the puke that went into his mouth and washed his eyes with his tears, his face tingled and itched a little as the hydrochloric acid from the lady's digestive system attacked at his skin cells.
"It'd be great if you could give some slight warning in the future, haha. But don't worry, I'm fine."
He consoled the lady who seemed to be rather remorseful for her uncontrolled actions.
"Anyway, since we're all surrounded on the ground, we could always try to leave through the sky? Somehow..."
He suggested to Yuki and kept close behind him as they proceeded down the dark corridors, only to face even more lasers blocking their way.
"Hmm, do you know of any shortcuts or something? And oh ya, what's your name? You can simply call me Kuroi."
Kuroi Tsuki asked the lady in his arms, with a hidden expression of impatience at the ridiculous amount of lasers being placed within the whole darned generator.

"Through the sky? That's possible. It's a good idea, even, but I'll need my mana back before we can go around to doing that. Short of my magic, I doubt there's anyone else who could bring all three of us high enough. So onwards!" Yuki bantered as he continued walking, before he was stopped abruptly by another set of lasers blocking his way. He flashed the lasers an internationally recognisable hand signal that suggested a massive insult before slamming his fist into the wall, breaking through in the second blow, and ripped apart the circuitry with something approaching sadistic glee.
"We need a way to get rid of these more quickly. They annoy me to hell, and for all my strength, I can tell you that all this high impact work is doing nothing for my wounds. Jasper! You and your Lightning Arc are on laser clearing duty from now on! Fry everything in our way!" The bleeding fighter grimaced, the wounds from the incredible amounts of gunfire he had just run through opening up with each sharp movement he took.
"I'm definitely going to need more bandages."
Dry observation over and done with, Yuki continued walking towards what he hoped would be a room with a first aid kit, and preferably strong alcohol and a sandwich.

[OoC: I'm assuming those Elite Ops guys have moved away after "killing" me.]
"Constantine, I detect a huge energy surge."
"Yeah, must be that energy wall there."
Then Constantine noticed soldiers firing away at clouds of steam. Probably Sierra's work. She looked like she needed help. Besides, he needed to keep the rain around, that was the only thing allowing him to move around like this.
"I know what you're thinking. Don't even try it."
"How'd you know what I'm thinking?"
"We share a brain now, remember?"
"Oh, right. But shouldn't I be able to pass through that wall? I'm pure energy, it can't hurt me."
"You'll explode with the energy it supplies. If you so much as touch it, you'll detonate. But you can still hang around the edges, like a ghost. That should scare them, at least a little."
Constantine floated over to the edge of the wall, a glowing, menacing ghostly figure, and started to wave at the soldiers cheerfully. He knew full well they couldn't hurt him. But they didn't know that.

Outside the Shield Generator, Sector ?
Given the distraction from both Sierra and Constantine, Tsubasa had enough time to prepare a spell on a higher destructive scale.
"Veniant Spiritus Aeriales Fulgurientes! Cum Fulguratione Flet Tempestas Austrina! Jovis Tempestas Fulguriens!"
A tempest of static ripped forth from where Tsubasa stood, slamming into the entire squad.
I doubt that was enough...
Tsubasa was readying herself for the next barrage of attacks, just as the wind cleared.

Inside Shield Generator, Sector 13
Kamin gingerly picked herself up, tenderly folding up the wings that had softened her impact.
Several of her feathers had been ripped out by the rolling on the concrete floor.
I'll have to fix that when I get back...
She raised her arms and attempted to seal her wounds with her magic. A sudden pain shot through her entire body, and she fell to the ground again.
She could hear the humming of concentrated magic in her ears. It was all around her - the sheer magic power that enveloped all of them. The Propella's magic.
Well, looks like I won't be using my powers anytime soon.
She got up again, and walked forward into the depths of the generator. She could hear sounds down the corridor - the sound of ripping concrete.
She continued forward, following the sound.

Outside the Shield Generator, Sector I-don't-know
Good, the bullets are mostly spread out.
Sierra dropped the rest of the way on to the ground with a phwump just as several bullets ripped through the air above her. When humans were confused, they tended to act rashly.
Then a strong blast of air targeted the group beyond the firewall.
My water can't reach them directly, but air is easier. And since it passed through the Firewall, it should be charged up with heat as well. Excellent.
I wonder if it would pose enough of a threat for them to send forces over to our side of the wall.
She didn't expect then to take the Firewall down completely, but wondered if they would chance opening a small portion to let soldiers through.

Even from here I can feel it. That energy is what warps this world - makes it unstable, unsafe. For these people to be using it as brazenly as this is... unwise, to say the least.
It's unique to this world, fortituously. Hasn't been documented in any of the journals on the Grid yet, so it's relatively unknown to me.
That's fine. I can generally surmise its properties. The only question now is how I can make it work to my advantage.
Weren't you condemning their actions?
Indeed. They exploit it to their benefit. It would be remiss of me not to do the same, considering that the situation is becoming increasingly dire. True, I would prefer to defeat them without resorting to this, but do you really think that there is a better choice now?
I saw earlier how the soldiers in there were resistant to magic, but that doesn't alter their alien nature - they're strangers in a strange land here. And given the high concentration of them in this area, I'm willing to bet that the power source they're using has something to do with it. They were probably summoned here from another plane, and in this regard they are similiar to any other summoned being - they can be unsummoned. All that I need to do is figure out what binds them to this world, and remove it.
Come to think of it, I might not even need to do that. The basic spell for dismissal is at my disposal, and that pool looks mighty appealing.
Are you sure? Don't forget, you're not exactly from around these parts yourself. You might well end up back where you started if you attempt something like this.
...I know. It's a risk I'll have to take. But I have confidence that I can shield myself from its effects at least well enough to avoid returning... returning home.
If you're sure.
I'm not. This isn't a textbook example - there are bound to be complications, considering all the factors involved.
But I'm still going ahead with it. Hold on, I need to analyse the dynamics of the spell with regard to that energy...
