Jasper looked up when the report of a heavy plasma attack aimed at them was transferred to him through his clairvoyance.
"WHAT THE HELL? KUROI! GET OUT OF THE WAY!"
Shoving Kuroi hard in a perpendicular direction to where they were intending to travel, Jasper leapt from the light path, towards the nearby shield generator.
"We need to take it out! Kuroi, we'll have to infiltrate the building."
Jasper was going to have a massive headache. Being near such a large amount of propella, and facing such a huge crisis is going to take a hell lot out of someone.
If we shut down the shield generator, we'll then be able to take out the power plant.
"Shit! I should have gotten biofoam!"
The plane-shaped plasma dived relatively slowly to the ground.
"Get into the shield generator now! Kuroi, destroy the place or whatever is it that will stop the shield!"
Venser. Get someone to take out the shield generator if possible! DO NOT OPEN FIRE NOW! We're entering it. If it can be taken out, we'll get out asap and you can blow that to smithereens then.[/u]

"Damn, I thought that would work. So much for tactics. Ah well."
Constantine sighed as the bullets tracked towards him.
"Eject."
As his body was shredded (once again), Constantine felt himself being forcibly thrown out of it. Muttering in disgust, he looked down at his bright blue, ethereal body. There was quite a lot of energy around due to Sierra's rain. It coursed through him, illuminating his presence.
"I think they can see you. Alert! We're giving off enough energy to register a heat AND infrared signature. I think you still look alive to them."
"So, I look like a target?"
"Pretty much. Although you can't hurt them, they can't hurt you either. But they don't know that."
"That gives me an idea. Can I fly?"
Constantine found he could levitate slightly off the ground.
"Good."
He floated rapidly away from the scene of the battle, zigzagging to look as if he was avoiding the planes. His intention was to draw them away from Kamin and Venser, since he was pretty much invulnerable now.

First Warrant Officer Alan McDallen, Sector 14
The rain clouds parted above them, revealing themselves for all to see.
But at the same time, it revealed the insurgents.
[Lockon confirmed, missile pod armed and ready.]
"OPEN FIRE!"
Sixteen missiles took off from each Mil Mi-42, flying in seemingly random paths and yet making their way steadily towards the pair on the ground.
However, the duo did not intend to be sitting ducks. Flitting in and between buildings, they probably would not have suffered serious injuries, although debris from the exploding missiles and collapsing buildings would have caused some minor damage.
"Strafe the area, do not let them escape!"
The twin mounted XM61 Vulcan Cannons began spraying the area with fire, at 3600 RPM, not to mention there being fourteen such cannons in all, provided fearsome firepower indeed.
Bullets spattered the ground in every direction, ricocheting off walls, piercing through thinner walls, breaking glass, and generally making the place a living nightmare.
Alan watched as the pair flitted about, even dodging some plasma attack that had came off somewhere in the skies.
Godammit, quit hiding in the buildings!
Entire buildings crumbled under the combined assault of the hail of bullets, leaving piles of rubble.
[[OoC: Please reflect being injured in this attack, you can't possibly dodge about 25000+ bullets anyway. It won't kill you, but most affirmatively injure you.]]
Master Sergeant Neville Friedman, Sector 48
A wall of... Something, appeared before his assault, stopping it dead in his tracks.
"What the fuck is this?!" Neville exclaimed, his flames did not affect the wall much, which meant he couldn't attack Yuki.
"Back off a little," he motioned to the hummvees, "shoot anything that comes through."
"Omega! We've been impeded by some magical wall of shit! Take out that bastard before he has a chance to escape! Friedman out!"
With that he turned his attention back to the wall, ready to fry anything that came out into a crisp.
Second Sergeant Eelyn Mernivre, Sector 27
"Affirmative, Master Sergeant."
She gave the 'open fire' signal.
Instantly, two lazer guided G5 RPGs erupted from their launchers, combustible poison gas grenades tinkered their way towards Yuki's feet, and riflemen leaned out of buildings, took aim, and fired.
Lieutenant Colonel Olivier Presche, Neumann Base Command Hub
Reports were streaming in, an unknown number of insurgents were inside the base, with some others fighting outside.
The generator, it had to be protected.
[Send: Command Code Alpha, Identification IA13-P4 | Request: Two Battalions, Tau FireWarriors | Urgency: Red]
[Order Received, Please Await Translocation.]
Olivier wringed his hands, the reinforcements would take about ten minutes to arrive, the forces in the base would have to hold the assailants off till then.

"SHITSHITSHIT!"
Jasper had not expected the helicopters to be a problem, until his inhuman senses detected massive attacks that were launched at them.
"Activating nanobots!"
As it appeared, Jasper and Kuroi disappeared in a round ball of the point-defense nanobot shield. Even so, they were not in time to escape the flying debris of a missile slamming into the ground at the entrance of the shield generator which managed to nick them just as the nanobots were starting up. The entrance of the shield generator disappeared in a blast of flame and smoke.
"Dammit! When did we get spotted!?"
We should be safe in the shield generator. But we should deactivate it asap
"Kuroi! Slice whatever that looks electrical to you! And get ready to escape when i say so!"
Jasper literally rolled into the shield generator through its partially ruined entrance.

First Warrant Officer Alan McDallen, Sector 14
"Woah, WOAH! Hold it! Hold your fire!"
Alan yelled as a stray missile hit the entrance to the generator.
"Command! The enemy has infiltrated the generator! Alan out!"
The seven assault helicopters hovered in place, ready to continue the attack against the insurgents the moment they exited the building.
First Lieutenant Ian Ambrose, Neumann Base Command Hub
"Affirmative."
Ian fumbled about in his uniform pocket, extracted a key, ran towards a different console, and jammed it in.
A button began glowing red, he flicked off the safety and rammed the button.
["Shield Generator self defence protocols initiated. All personnel please evacuate or remain within safe rooms until the all clear is given."]
Skidding back to his console, he decided to increase the troop concentration in the area.
"All available personnel within three klicks of the Portal, fall back and defend Sector 13 against all enemy attacks until reinforcements arrive. Command out."
If the shield is gone, we would be so much weaker, it has to be defended at all costs!
Technician Jen Kelly, Shield Generator Master Control Room[/u]
The warning in the Command Hub echoed about in the room as well. Engineers, technicians, overseers, and a few guards, all of them gathered into the room as it's superheavy doors sealed shut.
Outside, hidden lazer and minigun turrets unfurled from the walls. Tripwires stretched out across certain corridors, and shield generating equipment and machinery was covered by a reinforced layer of steel.
Jen worried about her safety, about the safety of the crew. She did not like conflict, but this was a well paying job that also suited her interests. Topping her graduate class in projected energy science, she was the only few who could keep such sophisticated technology in tip top working condition.
So many lives had already been lost, but she could do nothing about it, and many more would continue to be lost.
Please, let us get out of this alive!
Designated Marksman Leu de'Gaulle, Sector 13[/u]
He watched as soldiers, tanks, antiair vehicles, artillery pieces, and a variety of other units congregated in the Sector. Organising themselves, soldiers formed patrols with lighter vehicles, while tanks took up defensive positions around key installations. Artillery pieces drove into tank bunkers and raised their turrets to the sky, as if the heralding of an arriving King.
He had heard that a couple of infiltrators had successfully entered the shield generator. He'd make sure no more would though, he had to.
Shouldering his rifle, he looked into the scope and scanned the area, keeping his radio close at hand.

Kuroi Tsuki was eyes were seemingly blank. Even as he ran, he somehow felt like he couldn't think. Could this be the effect of the propella close by on him?
Bullets scraped across his arms and shoulders. They caused him searing pain. But most importantly, they tore his coat. His rage crystallised his consciousness.
DAMN THOSE BASTARDS!!!
Jasper's nanobots surrounded them. And they managed to enter into the shield generator like hamsters. Literally, though they aren't that small.
Sounds of heavy doors closing shut rang throughout the interior of the generator. Then, the whole building fell dead silent, except for some occasional computer beeping sounds.
Jasper... Something's not right. They must have activated some trap or defense system... And I don't think randomly slashing at electrical stuff would be helpful, it may just give away our position. Find a safe place to hide, I'll proceed alone, please do help me try to locate the room which has just shut the door.[/u]
He stepped out of the nanobot defense system and looked down the corridor. He placed his left ear onto a wall. He could hear it, the sound of little machines producing light stimulated with radiation - lasers.
Tripwires...
He is now faced with a problem, he can't see them well in the bright setting. How was he to avoid them?
Okay... Jasper... I need your help already. Are you able to view the laser tripwires with your psychic powers? If you could, please project them into my mind... I'll find my way to the room...[/u]
He carried on squinting down the corridor. He had caused trouble to the team by cutting a tripwire before. He can't afford to let that happen again.
Damn the lights...

Yuki already had the locations of all the enemies memorised by the time they started fighting, being some ten times faster than the average man in just about every aspect that mattered in a battle. It was not exactly a speed that allowed him to catch bullets or anything, but it was enough to make it such that there were no ordinary soldiers from any world that could fight him head on, especially if he had his magic to work with. Which, right now, he did not. Damnit! Where's the alchohol when you need it? This sort of attack would be a joke if I had mana! He cursed inwardly as the attacks approached, forcing him to take extremely crude measures to defend himself. Instead, he reconfigured his nanobots into a hamsterball, pressing the individual units closer together to the point where the formation would be functionally airtight, folding himself into it for protection. Then the explosions. The nanobot sphere, something that Yuki was getting altogether too used to hiding within, was sent flying into the air, the sheer force of the rocket propelled grenades transferring the kinetic energy that would normally have ripped a normal body to shreds into kinetic energy that sent him upwards instead. It still hurt, but at least all his bones were still in the correct places, happily unbroken. "But RPGs huh? Let me show you what a real high power weapon looks like!" He could not help but yell at the enemy soldiers as he broke out of the hamster ball as it rose out of the poisonous gas, drawing his Hammer of Dawn from its holster. He should have lent this to Kuroi and Jasper for their demolitions mission, but since he had it now, there was no reason not to use it, and use it he did, aligning the laser sights with the building that one of the rockets had been shot out of, counting the three seconds before the satellite caught the signal and unleashed its fury. "One... Two... Three!" He called as he landed, nanobots packed again in his free hand. --- HP: 250 (-30) MP: 0

One worry down. The helicopters were still now. Perhaps Jasper and Kuroi had made it safely? Sierra couldn't tell. She wasn't connected to the rest of the party--only indirectly through Venser, so she could only guess.
And what now? She thought. Her song had long since finished, but the rain persisted naturally. It would still be a while before it stopped.
If I close my eyes, I can see the wisps of magic floating around, drawn here by my song. But what do I do?
Of course, there were other nuisances to take care of. The three-man group that had charged on towards the base would have to deal with things themselves for now until it was safe for the magic users to continue. At this range, destroying the Tesla coils was impossible for her. What could water do against ionizing power anyway?
I have always thought about my water as an extension of myself--magic. I have no knowledge of Chemistry!!
Sierra's eyes were still closed, but that didn't prevent her from "seeing."
The rain falling from the sky almost seems like...
A stairway to the heavens.
The Undine opened her eyes, her white-blue irises reflecting the gray clouds. There were more people coming from the sky.
They are such skilled fliers. How are we to stop them ... Even if we must, in order to prevent those three from being overrun. Constantine is also still in trouble. Our small group is fighting an entire army. It is too much for me to grasp...!
She, unexpectedly, placed both hands on her temples and shut her eyes tight until tears were squeezed out.
"What do we do? What can we do?" She asked forlornly, hoping that someone would have some idea.
Sierra was already irritated at not being able to assist Yuki, Jasper, and Kuroi. Waiting here because she was a purely magical being and not being able to actively help them was going against the grain. She was itching to go.

(OOC: If you pack enough magic into the rain, all the vehicles will be damaged severely, like what happened to cipher)
"Kuroi stop thinking of going alone. I'm not going to leave you to die! Oh and by the way, i cannot project my thoughts."
Jasper was getting slightly irritated by the way Kuroi always wanted to move off by himself, acting like a certain Leeroy Jenkins so famous on his original world for his misdeeds on a game Jasper played.
Tripwires and basic traps are no problem. Its just those motion detectors that activate laser turrets... Meanwhile...
Jasper walked over to the nearest signboard which sported a map. Looking at it, he chose the second quickest route to the main control room.
(OOC: Can i designate where we move or will the NPC controllers tell us?)
"Kuroi, your waveforce katana is able to slice through the steel as though it wasn't there, so I'll be needing your help."
(OOC: DUDE READ MY BIO THX! Its passive anyway)

[[OoC: Dude, how many times must I tell you, if you have enhanced clairvoyance there must be side effects. 4HP per MP consumed, don't tell me you don't consume MP for that skill because everything consumes MP. And even so, you don't have uber-enhanced clairvoyance now because you're pretty far from the propella already. Multiply skill level by 5, 2.5HP per MP.
I don't give a shit if it's passive, if it's passive and you can't control lose 2.5 HP per post or 2.5 HP per instance of clairvoyance.
Btw, ivankira and ski, in close proximity to Propella (uber close: power plants, 200m portal building. relatively close: shield generator, headquarters) your powers get multiplied with a side effect. For uber close, you lose 5 HP per MP used but your powers get magnified by 10 times temporarily. For relatively close, you lose 2.5 HP per MP used for a multiplication of 5.]]

Shas El' Shovah, The Portal
Two battalions of Tau FireWarriors had been assembled and led into the Portal. Their allies needed help, and so help was to be rendered.
Shovah looked upon the two battalions, each soldier equipped with a Pulserifle, and encased in fire red armor.
The FireWarriors were long range combat infantry, extremely capable of accurate shots at long distances, even without scopes. Their Pulserifles fire an ordinary concentrated laser pulse, but also contained within is an extremely high frequency "fire" pulse, which would ignite most surfaces, marking the target for more FireWarriors to fire upon.
The FireWarriors quickly split up and supplemented the already thick defensive position, covering many areas of entry, including the sky itself.
Second Sergeant Eelyn Mernivre, Sector 27
Eelyn watched as the figure was pounded by two RPGs, a hail of bullets and gas grenades.
Doubt anybody could survive that.
She was proved wrong, however. Yuki had used his nanobots to absorb a significant amount of damage, and whipped out a weapon.
Within seconds, a beam of energy struck from the skies with pinpoint accuracy upon one of the men with the G5 RPG Launchers. Her eyes widened as her mouth fell agape.
"What in the world?! Fall back!" She exclaimed.
"Master Sergeant! The hostile is using some kind of energy direction weapon, recommend mission abort!"
The rest of the squad retreated back towards the Command Hub.
Master Sergeant Neville Friedman, Sector 48
"Yeah I can see the fireworks pretty well from here, lady."
He turned his tank around.
"C'mon, let's get the hell outta here."
Technician Jen Kelly, Shield Generator Master Control Room
Jen shivered with fear.
Initial radio reports and inbuilt infrared sensors had confirmed the entry of two hostiles.
Several guardsmen manned weapons consoles, giving them control over some of the hidden turrets peppered about the corridors.
She had a handgun, everyone was issued with one. But she wasn't very good with it, and didn't want to use it.
Closing her eyes, she muttered a prayer.
Wait... Where's Vinnie?!
Designated Marksman Leu de'Gaulle, Sector 13
Scanning the skies, he noticed a slight figure superimposed in the rainy air.
"Enemy spotted, hovering in the sky north. FireWarriors, take it down, if you can."
He steadied his rifle, he too, intended to take a few potshots.
Who knows? I might just be able to do it.
Shas Ui' Ponnah, Sector 13
"Confirmed, spotter."
He and his firemate both raised their rifles, taking aim at the little speck in the sky, and fired.
Instantly, ultrapowered beams of heat and light radiation appeared to strike the target, illuminating it for other FireWarriors to take aim at.

"Errr..."
Kuroi Tsuki didn't know what was going through Jasper's mind. He knew that it would be much easier for him to go alone, unless Jasper could do flips and crazy jumps with utmost accuracy to not cut the tripwires and activate the laser turrets or whatnot. Even he himself was not a hundred percent sure he could do it.
"Oh, you didn't take the microchip... Darn... Slipped my mind. And if I'm guessing it correctly, you intend to simply just walk through all the corridors like no one's business?"
And cause us to get our asses kicked big time?
"With whatever technology that the enemy has, from Tesla coils to the world ending bomb. Personally, I don't think their auto-defense system would be that simple. But if you insist, fine by me. Lead the way then."
He did a simple hand gesture to signal Jasper to literally, lead the way. Then, he took off his WaveForce Katana on his back and held it by the sheath on his left hand.
I hope this sheath would be useful...

Jasper walked forward confidently towards the stairway, immediately spotting a poorly concealed tripwire.
This one obviously baits one to step over it into a well concealed one.
Scanning the ground behind that tripwire, Jasper was rewarded with a glimpse of an extremely thin wire behind it, that would activate whatever trap it was connected to with any force above 2N pushing against it.
"Come on Kuroi, we have to go up to the third floor to reach the control room. Oh and avoid these two tripwires. Follow my steps closely. Anything wrong, leap to me and i'll activate my nanobots."
Carefully stepping over the tripwires, Jasper proceeded up the stairs, a gun in one hand and the lightning arc powered up to its second highest setting in the other.

The enemies were retreating. Brilliant. If Yuki had known they could be scared off like this, he would have whipped out the Hammer ages ago, but alas, these were the things that were generally revealed only on hindsight, so there was not much point thinking about it too much. Besides, he had more important things to worry about, like cutting off the power supply so Mikoto and Yuriko could attack the base directly, or getting a drink, since he definitely needed one by this point. Sure, he was barely damaged, but he had drained himself of all his magic and had been in one too many close shaves for comfort. It was not something he considered in the middle of a fight, but combat fatigue piled up, and if left unchecked, it might lead to a single moment of folly where everything he had built up would be undone.
So it was time for a drink, if only he knew where to find one.
"I guess I could follow them and raid their pantry, but that seems awfully low, not to mention risky if they have more soldiers at their base. I guess I should head to where Kuroi and Jasper are then, maybe they might have a better idea."
Kuroi, Jasper, I'm going to head for your location now. I would be awfully glad if you found a kitchen while attacking their base.[/i] He thought fiercely, transmitting the message to his allies before breaking off into a quick jog, heading towards where he guessed the two of them would be.

Yuki! Good to hear you again![/u]
Inwardly, Jasper let out a sigh of relief.
Unfortunately, their canteen is up on the second floor, and so is the pantry. Watch out for tripwires and turrets, and get your nanobots ready. However, you will have to get through quite a number of soldiers guarding outside the shield generator. I think it'll be better if you wait for us to take it out, then assault the power plant or HQ instead.[/u]
"YESSS! Kuroi! Yuki's fine! You heard that too right?"

World Without Boundaries Elite Ops Team
The radar presence of the target they had been pursuing suddenly shrank.
[Charlie-Delta-Zero-One to Control, target destroyed.]
-wait. The radar presence isn't decreasing.
The spot on his screen continued to flash. It was moving a lot slower now, but it was still moving.
[Control, scratch that. Target is still alive but has sustained serious injury. Initiating clean-up procedure.]
[Roger, Charlie-Delta-Zero-One.]
The two planes continued down, continuing to strafe Constantine with bullets even as they continued to avoid the bolts that came down from the sky.
29th Knight Squadron - Team Beta-Alpha
The planes continued to track the three even as they went inside the shield generator.
[Control, hostiles have entered shield generator. Recommend next plan of action.]
[Roger, Two-Nine-Beta-Alpha. Continue to track. Do not allow them to exit alive.]
[Roger, Control.]
The four planes continued to circle overhead, like hawks waiting for prey.
29th Squadron - Beta-Beta
[Control, target spotted. Request permission to engage.]
The four planes started to home in on Venser, a sitting duck in the uninhabited killzone outside Neumann Base.
[Roger, Two-Nine-Beta-Beta. Permission granted.]
The four planes streaked down further. The F/A-22's weapons bay opened, and a small rotating gun ran along a small track under the plane until it reached the nose of the plane.
The Baryon Laser Array fired. Six laser beams coalesced in the sky, shooting down at lightspeed even as its normal cannons spat fire down on the enemy. The other plane's weapons bays also opened, and small fixtures could be seen running along and out of the plane as they moved their armaments into position.
The most high-tech weapons in the world concentrated into eighteen planes, combined with the best pilots one could ever have - that was the Strikers Team.
Kirisame Marisa
Much as she'd not like to admit, Marisa was having trouble.
Three planes shooting at her had been rather to simple to handle.
Ten planes - not so much.
So much fire was flying through the air that it was all she could do to dodge them. She didn't even have time to pull off a spellcard, and the planes were all too adept at avoiding her bullets.
I wish someone could help me...
"This is toos difficults, ze~!"
If one of them released a bomb, she would perish. Even if she blocked it with a magic array, the other bullets would hit her as well, and before she knew it she would run out of magic to keep it - and herself - sustained.
It was a horrible situation to be in.
"Did someone need help?"
Marisa spun her head around.
There, floating fifty thousand feet in the sky, was reinforcements.
Marisa smiled.
29th Squadron - Team Alpha
The X-29 pilot had been engaging Marisa when he saw her turn her head around and smile.
That can't be good.
He turned his head - and there, out of his cockpit window, caught a glimpse of a red ribbon on black hair.
Oh god.
Back on his universe - he had never told anyone this - he used to love playing a game that involved little girls shooting stuff. It was kind of like what he did at work - only the bullets were more numerous, more pretty and a lot slower. It was intricate, beautiful stuff. And the little girls were very powerful.
Marisa had been one of them - when he was sent to fight her, he had within felt a strange sense of glee at finally being able to contact someone out of the games.
The problem was the latest addition. The flagship character of Universe 1808.5.
Hakurei Reimu.
33rd Knight - Misaka Mikoto
[Control to Static-Fox, do you copy?]
There was a lot of static in the air from the lightning, but Mikoto could still make out the ping over the radio.
[Roger, Control. This is Static-Fox, over.]
[Reinforcements have arrived. The aircraft are no longer your concern. Please focus on removing the Tesla coils so that conventional forces can move in, over.]
[Roger that, Control.]
The priority from the start had never been the recovery of the bomb. That was only a secondary objective to New Technia.
From the start, they had wanted a reason to obtain the portal technology from World Without Boundaries. The world-ending bomb just happened to be a good reason.
Now, once the WWB forces had been eradicated, New Technia could take over and gain access to the Propella portal technology - portal technology far exceeding the failed experiment that was the Chronosphere.
No one inside would have to know that. And they would never know. At the end, they would get their bomb, and everyone would be happy.
It was a gain for everyone.

Technician Vinnie Kelly, Shield Generator Main Stairwell Level 2
Vinnie had not managed to make it into the Main Control Room before the doors slammed shut and the tripwires were activated.
She knew where most of the traps were, but she didn't want to risk accidentally tripping one and having herself torn into shreds.
She heard voices downstairs.
"Kuroi stop thinking of going alone. I'm not going to leave you to die! Oh and by the way, I cannot project my thoughts."
Followed by steps coming up.
She whimpered, like her twin, Jen, she didn't want this job, but pressure from her family prompted she and her sister to take up the job.
Now she was stuck in a lethal combat situation, her only weapons her gun and her wits, but she didn't want anybody to die.
What is wrong with this world?! Why should people always be dying?
She had always wanted to be a doctor, or a teacher, in fact, she had talent in both professions, but it was too late now, far too late.
Unholstering her handgun, she raised it at the top of the stairwell with shaky hands.
Second Sergeant Eelyn Mernivre, Sector 15
She and her squad stopped outside an armory.
"Alright, guys. Let's rearm! Maybe Command will let us have a go at those heavier weaponry..."
She eyed a trio of portable .50 cal machinegun turrets, a pair of mortar cannons, and an archaic 300mm artillery monster that nobody had bothered to use in years.
"Command, this is Omega Squad, requesting permission to change inventory to three M925 Heavy Machineguns, two J229 HAMRs, oh, and why not let us try out that big old 'Elephant'?"
["Affirmative, Omega. Take whatever you like, Command out."]
She motioned to her squad to pick up the weaponry, each one required several men to carry and operate, while the rest grabbed sandbags.
"Hey, Porville, let's try out the Elephant, eh?"
Climbing in, they drove it out of the armory.
Calibrating it to fire outside the base, Eelyn armed it, advised everyone in the immediate area to evacuate, and hit the fire button.
A few seconds later, the pavement cracked as the gargantuan cannon launched a monstrous artillery shell into the sky.
"Right. Omega Squad, move out to Sector 13. Go!"
Slowly, the Elephant and the squad made their way towards Sector 13.
Master Sergeant Neville Friedman, Sector 19
The flame tank and hummvees trundled back to the hanger.
The rest of the Counter Insurgency force were busy repairing their vehicles and restocking on ammunition.
"Hey! You sissies ready to go?" He hollered.
"Almost done, sir." A technician came running out, sweat on his forehead and his gloves covered in grease and motor oil.
Neville climbed out of his vehicle and went to get some fuel for his tank. Pouring it in, he announced.
"I want all of you to be ready in five minutes, then we'll move to Sector 16, understood?"
"Yes, sir!" Came the expected reply.
Oh, almost forgot.
Hopping out of his tank again, he made his way into the hangar and fished out a device, the F9A Signal Jammer.
Let's see how you pull off that trick again, boy...

"Can't this thing move any faster?"
"Nope."
"Pretty soon, they're going to figure out we're invincible. Until then, let's keep up the disguise and try to get them as far away from the base as possible."
As the bullets passed right through him, Constantine found he slowed down drastically when moving through the dust clouds they raised.
"Ai! What's going on?"
"Your body is composed of pure energy, mainly light and heat energy. You can't move as fast in denser mediums than in less dense mediums. You can't pass through anything opaque either, although you can float right through glass and other transparent things."
"You should've told me sooner."
He could feel the dust snuffing out his glow. It was eating away at his heat and light energy, reflecting, absorbing and scattering it. Eventually, his physical body faded away, leaving a microchip hovering in a magnetic field.
"Constantine, wait for your energy to recharge. Then you can move again. The ambient energy from the rain should pump you back up in a while."
"Right."

"Yea. I heard it. Keep your voice down though...
And erm... Look at the stairs... Every step is lined with tripwires... How are ya gonna get past that?"
Kuroi Tsuki whispered to Jasper with a raised eyebrow. Before waiting for a reply, he jumped onto the narrow and rounded left handrail of the staircase. Taking quick, small and light steps, having only the tips of his toes in contact with the rail, he systematically placed one foot directly in front of another and made his way to the top.
The moment he got to the top, he landed onto a safe spot and immediately noticed a rather young lady, possibly still a "girl", looking at him in fear. She had a handgun out, pointing straight at him.
"WOOOW... Cool it lady! Hold your fire, please..."
Kuroi Tsuki said in a calm manner and as if in a begging tone. He noticed that she was dressed like a typical researcher; with a white coat over her simple dressing. He obviously did not want to take away anymore innocent lives, especially those without any murderous intent to kill.
He lowered his left hand which was still holding the sheathed WaveForce Katana. He had no idea how to calm a girl down, he had nearly no experience in that at all. All he could do was to hope that she would believe in him, or he would definitely get hurt while she would remain unscathed. He never wanted to lay his fist or any weapon on any girl, for his entire life, unless they really deserve to be killed.
"Please... I am not here to kill..."
His eyes reflected those of pain and sorrow. A melancholic face indeed.

It's coming.
If I must die, I will encounter darkness as a bride, and hug it in mine arms...
Or I could save myself the trouble. I cannot ascend now, and I wouldn't want to under these circumstances. Besides, taking a throwaway attitude to my life at this point would invalidate the entire point of my exile.
True. But do you think you can do it? They're clearly out to get you, and they're fast...
Why, that just means that I need to be faster.
A moment stretched to infinity as he reopened his eyes.
Projectiles headed towards him - enemies closing in from above - a secret, disturbing revelation from someone they were meant to trust. He could nearly feel the heat, hear the bullets hissing past, see the blinding light that would consume everything.
And then he felt nothing. Senses liberated from flesh, an ethereal entity suspended in the air, he finished blinking, and let out a breath that had been interrupted by the transition from one form to another.
I must hope that their aim was true enough to prevent anyone else from being injured.
I doubt they're going to give you up that easily. You can't stop them from coming for you, but you might be able to prevent those around you from being killed.
Do you expect me to run? That would only make me a more compelling target for them. No, I'm staying where I am. Yes, I'm going to stop them from getting killed on my account. Don't make this any harder for me than it already is, alright? You could at least try to help me out a bit, you know.
Watching the smoky outline of dust settling around him - the physical aftermath of the attack - he sighed.

((OoC: Yay, Reimu!))
We're being attacked? Why? And then, a thought.
What are they doing? Sierra glanced over at Sol and Tsubasa, who hadn't made any movement for the past several minutes.
She swung her left arm in a wide arc and the air 30 meters around them filled with tiny mirrors. No--it was ice. The rain helped immensely, though she sensed that it would die out soon, unless she sang again.
Thousands of mirrors helped divert as much of the blasts as possible, though the missiles melted many on contact. It wasn't aimed at her specifically, but a bit more to the side...
Venser... he seems.. unharmed though. The Undine stared. He seemed to have phased out somehow. It reminded her of her own magical form. Were they that much alike?
As she wondered, another strange idea occurred to her. It was something she had seen a long time ago. A strange trick that someone had shown her... Someone important... Her thoughts ended.
...
"Did you know? It's a trick of the light. I'll show you. If you bend the light with mirrors, you can make it so that people can't see you, like an illusion. Further, since you can control the ice, temperature is not a problem, as with magic detection. You can basically create a large area of mystery. Hahahaha."
"You sound silly, <<static>>... But I suppose it is quite intriguing."
"Yeah! We should scare <<static>> like that. It would be hilarious..."
"How mischievous..."
.. And then began. The crystallized air twisted, vanished, and spread. They could shoot the entire area for all that was worth, but that would be a waste of time and energy. Plus, it seemed that air support had arrived.

"We are mobile."
"Yes, but that wouldn't help matters much, would it? And I see Venser's opted to preserve his consciousness like us. Means we can finally talk to him, right?"
"He's technically a ghost. A manifestation of pure energy, like us. So yes, I think we can talk to him."
"Venser! Can those guys still hit you? If they can't, try to draw them away to the base. I'm effectively useless. I glow like anything alive, and make one hell of a target. Those dust clouds drain my energy. You, on the other hand, seem to be immune to such trivial things as opacity and density. Try to make those things chase you, since you aren't frozen by dust! Kamin's security is of utmost importance since she's the only one of us alive, so we need to keep them away from here. Sierra's magic should give you enough of a radar and heat signature to draw attention if you absorb enough of it."

Yuki broke into a run.
One thing about those implanted microphones was that they transmitted all speech unless configured otherwise, and not just strong thoughts. Yuki had killed off the speech transmission capabilities of his microphones since he tended to ramble to himself, but he could still hear what everyone else who had a microphone was saying. Including Kuroi, and what he said gave him a plenty good idea of the situation at hand.
Kuroi! This is Yuki! Listen to me. Whoever is standing in front of you, don't shoot to kill. You should have a Lightning Arc on you. Set it to stun, and shoot whatever you have to. Don't let yourself be overwhelmed by the situation. There's always a way out if you know how.[/u]
The shield generator building soon loomed ahead, and Yuki broke into it in record time. It was time to catch up to the others, and get a drink. He needed the kick to his bloodstream if he wanted to continue using magic, and if what he knew about Propella was true, then magic was going to be an invaluable weapon in this endeavour, even if it meant ripping apart his body to do so.

I don't have a Lightning Arc with me... She's just stairing and pointing a gun at me, while I'm just looking at her too... Nothing is happening. And so far I think its gonna be ok...[/u]
Kuroi Tsuki slowly inched his way towards the lady. He held his sheathed WaveForce Katana on his left hand with the handle pointing backwards and positioned it behind him; a sign which showed that he was not going to draw the blade, thereby meaning that he is not intending to kill. With an outstretched right hand, he said in a soft voice:
"Come on... Please put that gun down. My team and I are only here to retrieve the World-Ending Bomb and deactivate it. It would not be nice if it were to fall into the wrong hands... Please, help us in doing so! All my other teammates are fighting for their lives outside the base... They may die, and so will the soldiers of this base... Either way, lives will be lost, unless everything can be settled quickly..."
Yuki and Jasper... Whatever you do, try not to cut any tripwires... Please...[/i]
